1 (67).gif Al llegar al lugar lara encuentra a sus amigos y le entrega las herramientas a reyes, pero todos se dan cuenta de que alex no ha llegado con lara, y este solo se queda callada, a lo que luego lara confirma que alex ha decidido sacrificarse para poder darle la oportunidad de escapar a lara, a lo que reyes reacciona bastante mal y esta solo le dice que todo aquel que se acerca a ella termina muriendo, por lo que lara solo le dice que entonces no debería acercarse tanto, pero enseguida jonah trata de calmar las aguas y decir que no vale la pena pelear ya que si lo hacen solo lograrán morir más rápida y les dice a todos que es hora de comer y que es momento de descansar un poco, a lo que luego de comer comienzan a hablar de que ciertamente la isla está maldita y que además hay algo que causa toda la destrucción que vemos a los alrededores de la isla, por lo que lara le dice a jonah que planea encontrar la manera de frenar las tormentas y de encontrar la forma de romper la maldición, por lo que ha decidido adentrarse mas en la isla y descubrir todo lo que pasa, a lo que reyes solo le dice que al momento de reparar el motor del barco no esperarán por ella. 1 (59).gif

1 (101).gif Por otra parte, también al momento de seguir avanzando por la isla finalmente logramos acceder a nuevas zonas del mapa, y hay un lugar en donde encontramos los restos de lo que parece ser el guardián del sol que se ve en las pinturas antiguas de la isla, y es que este parece haberse suicidado debido a que al parecer la reina del sol no ha podido completar el ritual con éxito, por lo que la reina ha quedado atrapada de alguna manera en un cuerpo que sigue enterrado en alguna cripta de la isla, al suceder esto el guardián ha decidido acabar con su vida y dejarle el cuidado de la isla a los oni que son los seres que han acabado con los soldados japoneses y muchas otras personas, también podemos ver que la armadura del guardián sigue en muy buen estado, a pesar de que su cuerpo está descompuesto por completo y solo se puede ver su esqueleto, todo esto lara lo descubre en una carta escrita que está dentro de la katana con la que se había suicidado en guardián, por lo que lara concluye que la razón de las tormentas debe ser que la reina del sol sigue teniendo su esencia en un cuerpo que sigue descomponiéndose y que a raíz de esto las tormentas no acaban, por lo que lara concluye que se debe destruir el cuerpo para romper la maldición, por lo que es momento de ponerse en marcha pero comienzan a llegar soldados de mathias que además de atacar a lara parece que también están atacando a los amigos de lara. 1 (88).gif
