It's another beautiful week on @afritunes. It's week #82 and I am excited to join in once again for this week.

I am @rukkie and I will be presenting the cover of a song by a Nigerian artist named Tiwa Savage and the song is titled "Pick Up"

"Pick Up" is a love song and it talks about the frustration and hurt one feels when there is a change in the behaviors of one's partner. They don't pick up their calls, hardly compliment you on anything you do etc. This could lead to worry and fear that they might be getting attention from someone else.

This could bring about a form of insecurities when trying to reach your partner and they fail to "pick up" their calls either due to a disagreement of some sort.

The song urges partners to be more open to each other and know that any issue that arises will be sorted out. This is why there is a need to be communication and understanding to alleviate the fear and worry of the other party.

The fact remains that no one is perfect and there will be times when lots of disagreement will occur. To work things out and avoid further issues, both parties need to work together and stay committed for their relationship to work. I believe communication amongst other things helps a great deal in strengthening the bond between spouses.

The song has a mix of English, pidgin, and Yoruba Language and I hope you enjoy my presentation.
