Celebrating my Best Friends’ 18th Birthday.

Birthdays have never been a big deal to me personally, but I realized the significance of this occasion yesterday. I had the opportunity to surprise my school best friends’, who happen to be twin sisters, on their 18th birthday. Despite being born on the same day, Akansha and Arushi, both have unique looks and distinct personalities.

As my besties were not expecting me to attend their birthday celebration, I decided to keep my arrival a secret. I had initially informed them that I would not be able to make it, claiming that I was not at home. However, I couldn’t resist the opportunity to celebrate their last birthday together before they embark on their journey to Charles Darwin University in Australia next month.

When I initially planned to surprise them with a cake, I discovered that they had already celebrated their birthday eve with their childhood neighbourhood friends, cutting three different cakes. Knowing their love for makeup, I decided to gift them a set of high-quality makeup products by selecting something that aligned with their interests. I wanted to ensure that they feel appreciated and cherished on this special day.

As the scorching sun blazed outside, we decided to spent a few hours indoors together, reminiscing and catching up on each other’s life. In the evening, we decided to visit a nearby Janmashtami carnival, adding an extra layer of excitement to the festivities. The vibrant atmosphere and the lively crowd instantly uplifted our spirits. The carnival was filled with various rides, games, and food stalls, promising loads of fun and excitement.

Our first stop was the Ferris wheel, which costed us 100 INR each, standing tall against the clear blue sky. As we ascended higher and higher, we marveled at the breathtaking view of the carnival and the surrounding area. We laughed and screamed with joy, cherishing the experience and the bond we shared as bestfriends.

Next we decided to try the Columbus ride, known for its exhilarating spins and twists. It costed us 150 INR. Akansha didn’t join us as she felt a sudden headache after the first ride. As the Columbus ride started, our hearts raced with excitement. The feeling of weightlessness as the ride spun us around made us scream with delight. We held onto each other tightly, sharing a mixture of fear and happiness.

After the thrilling rides, we craved something sweet to cool us down. We came across the Famous Turkish Ice-cream. It costed us 150 INR each. The vendor challenged us to a competition. The challenge was to touch or hold the cone without taking a bite, while the vendor tried to trick us with his clever moves. We eagerly accepted the challenge, and the vendor began his tricks. He would tilt the cone precariously, and perform hilarious antics to confuse us. Each time, we burst into fits of laughter, unable to resist his playful tricks. The challenge brought our competitive sides, but more importantly, it created a lighthearted and joyous atmosphere that made the experience even more memorable.

Attending my best friends’ birthday celebration was an absolute blast. It allowed us to create cherished memories that will undoubtedly last a lifetime. Although I am not particularly fond of birthdays, but after witnessing their happiness and gratitude made me realize the significance of celebrating such occasions.
