    About :

I finish exploring the northeast areas and then return to Hartrick to advance the main quest. This is the thirteenth episode of Alton - IL.

Note: My experience with Alton wasn't the best. Many instabilities and crashes, but I managed to complete the quests.

The mods I used in this series are listed here. Also, the complete playlist is now available on Youtube and Odysee

    Follow the timestamps:

    • 00:41 - Heading southwest after leaving the Last Chance Gas building. I find a path between the rocks to the south. Wastelander Hideout discovered.
    • 01:43 - A "Go Away" note is in the mailbox. Of course, I'm not going away.
    • 02:30 - The structure had an entrance, but not what I expected. It's a hatch to the Wastelander Cave, near the garden gnome outside.
    • 03:26 - The Wasteland didn't have much to say, so I left.
    • 04:14 - I go northwest past the road. A sentry bot was on the way.
    • 06:38 - I continue heading northwest. Mirelurks live in the ruined and flooded area.
    • 08:02 - A fridge in one of the houses. Sunken Hollow was discovered.
    • 08:27 - I enter a Flooded Ranch on the east side of the road. A footlocker was near the bed. A copy of the DC Journal of Internal Medicine was on the kitchen table.
    • 09:46 - Back outside. I take the road to the north. The rocky area under the elevated highway caught my attention.
    • 12:41 - I jumped on the rocks to the north and discovered a path between the rocks. It led to nothing, so I returned west. The northeast areas looked unfinished.
    • 13:31 - I take the road north (again). The road ends in more rocks. I check the map and turn west under the highway.
    • 14:17 - Sentry Bots south of a waste disposal area.
    • 16:11 - I cross the north fence and follow northwest. I checked the map and noticed the Faramount Toxic Waste Dump to the northwest. I (decide to) fast-travel to Riverview.
    • 17:41 - I go northwest to finish exploring the city ruins and then focus on the main quest.
    • 18:54 - Passing by Wild Track Bikes (seen in part 279). I turn east and discover the Grain Mill. I take the road northeast to see where it goes (invisible wall). I return and enter the Industrial Ruins.
    • 21:22 - I deploy the MTS-400 before eliminating the Feral Ghouls. A few frag mines are placed in the area.
    • 22:38 - A tripwire near the door to the hallway.
    • 23:21 - Some filling cabinets. I retrieve the MTS before moving forward. I go to the room on the left first. Only a first aid box.
    • 24:32 - I go to the right and then upstairs. A lone Feral Ghoul to the left, near the vending machine.
    • 25:14 - I take the left path and enter the room on the right. Some shelves and items.
    • 25:48 - The last room floor collapsed. The area below has many radioactive waste barrels and the "Doctor's Orders: #2" on the ground (Sneak +5). The first "Doctor's Orders" was found in episode 279, in a ruined house (43 minutes mark).
    • 26:17 - The holotape mentions a Godfrey, but I was too tired to check what the person was doing.
    • 27:08 - Now I'll check the right side. The path is blocked, so I only reach the cafeteria. A rigged shotgun was on a bench on the left. I almost missed the tripwire.
    • 29:04 - Going downstairs and leaving the building.
    • 30:08 - The local map. Time to move on. I go northwest and find a (highly) radioactive crater to the northwest. It was deadly even with Rad-X.
    • 32:52 - I turn west and spot raiders in the parking lot below. I kill them, jump on the rocks below and go north toward the water. A few more enemies near the picnic tables (+ a first aid box).
    • 35:01 - I jump on the water, trying to swim to the north side, but the invisible wall haltered my attempt. Back to the parking lot to loot the raiders.
    • 37:47 - I finally return to the Underground Railroad.
    • 38:23 - Talk to Frank Randolph in the corridor. He doesn't have the 1000 caps required to move into the station. The "Friendy To The Needy" quest begins.
    • 39:05 - I offer to talk to Hartrick for him. No reward is required.
    • 39:26 - First, I'll sell some stuff.
    • 41:04 - I go south and into the tunnels to meet Hartrick.
    • 42:16 - A quick stop at the workbench to manage and repair.
    • 44:05 - Looking for Hartrick. I found him in the room with the sandbags.
    • 44:31 - Godfrey is free of Super Mutants. Also, the truck to return home needs a Prism Fusion Coil Reflector Device.
    • 45:10 - Telling Hartrick about my capture.
    • 45:53 - Hartrick mentions a GECK in Vault 59. I don't want to destroy it, so the option to disable the water purification system arises.
    • 46:48 - I talk to Hartrick again. It's about Frank's situation. He offers a spare room in exchange for 50% of Frank's profits.
    • 46:59 - The "anything else that I could help" option is a quest to fix the boiler. The "Give It A Good Mopping" quest begins. I need to find Tom Howard.

I complete the two side quests in the next episode.
