first beats, MPC live pt 4

20 plus new beats/patterns on my new MPC Live...switching up the kits breathes interesting life into the same pattern! i am indeed very happy with this machine so far-i don't think i've picked up my octatrack since i have gotten this about 2 months ago!...

plugged into my cheap-but-decently cool sylvania battery powered speaker, this is an all battery powered setup i have been rocking lately so that i can just hammer out some beats on the couch without wires hanging all over the place. seems to get about 3 to 4 hours of use between charges, which is pretty good for a secondhand machine.

still haven't read the manual or watched many tutorial videos...yesterday i had to quickly learn about undoing some automated track mutes before i made this video

this is my first MPC experience, although i have an akai s1000 rack sampler which has a totally different feel (and great mid-fi sound)
