    Happy Weekend Hive Open Mic Community 🎤

    This is Princessbusayo, with my entry to the week's theme: Disney. First of all, let me share my experience with you about making this video come out the way it did.

    I made 57 mistakes (coupled with noise, distraction, etc) before I could get done with it. I don't know why it was hard for me to sing this particular one. I have never had to delete this huge number of mistakes since I have been recording myself singing. It was a battle in my room, my eyes were red and I almost gave up, not wanting to make an entry this week but I kept going hoping to do one that would be perfect and void of mistakes, I tried my best doing the final part. Let me know what you think about this in the comment section 😮‍💨

    I bumped into this video song on YouTube while searching for what to present and my mind chose it. "How Far I'll Go" is a soundtrack from the Disney movie, Moana. I am not a fan of Disney movies at all, just went to search for one to present so as not to be left out.

    The lyrics of the song were written by Lin-Manuel Miranda and performed by Alessia Cara. It's about a young girl named Moana who wanted to feel independent, full of strength and to find her way in the world, she believed in herself to change the world. I already downloaded this movie so I could see how it's played out as I am moved to watch it. Perhaps watching this might make me fall in love with Disney movies, let's see.

    The lyrics are impeccable and inspirational as they send a message that no matter what we are going through, we should follow our dreams and not be held back by people's criticism or discouragement. There will be decisions we are going to make to change our lives, but we shouldn't be afraid to take that step as it would turn our lives for the better once we are focused and determined, not pretending to be someone else. We can make a big change through our actions, and it begins with a step. Let's be ready to leave our comfort zone, though it may not be easy at first, the result will be amazing.

    We all have our responsibilities and we must be ready for them all. Though it may feel like our challenges are drawing us back, we must not give in to them but push ourselves extra hard because, in the end, it will all turn into testimonies.
