#HiveOpenmic week 162,I am @onos-f and our theme for the week is 'BE OKAY'

People feel sad and they mourn for one reason or the other. Maybe because they have lost their loved one, or because they have lost their job or source of livelihood or because they could not attain their plans and purposes. However, this week's theme is so consoling as it calls on everyone to 'be okay'. No matter what happens in our lives, let's get strengthened. Let's fortify the grace of fortitude in us and persevere as we await better moments, for everything will be okay again. Let us remember the saying that 'tough time never lasts but tough people do'

I feel really sad because my lovely uncle (my dad's younger brother) was layed to rest today and I could not attend the funeral due to my engagement in school. However, I feel consoled because I believe in the resurrection of the dead and I believe that my uncle will receive merciful judgement from God and his soul will be accepted in his heavenly kingdom.

In line with the theme of this week which is 'BE OKAY', I'm bringing to you a funeral song which is titled 'ASLEEP IN JESUS BLESSED SLEEP'. As you listen to me sing for you and also play my Recorder, I hope all those who are sad and who mourn the death of their loved ones derive some consolation from this entry.

May the soul of my uncle; Mr Samuel Okito Ojenike and the souls of all the faithful departed through the mercy of God rest in peace. Amen 🙏
