Coltsfoot (Tussilago Farfara) is a medicinal plant which grows in the early spring when not many other plants are able to grow. Its medicinal uses go back as far as Ancient Greece or the Roman Empire. It’s been used traditionally to ward off caughs and help remove phlegm from the airways, among other things.
In this video I show you what Coltsfoot looks like and how I harvest it for use. I also go over the health benefits of the herb, along with the warning regarding pyrrolizidine alkaloids the plant contains, which are said to be toxic for the liver.
