Hive Open Mic 144 "Melodic Dose" - Nocturno nº2 Op9 Chopin

Hello dear hivers and dear community of the Hive Open Mic. During my long absence I really missed being here with you participating in this space that has been created with so much love and that you have always made it grow by sharing more and more music. Today I want to join you again, and with this I reaffirm my return to Hive, once again, after so many setbacks, I get up, and this video that I recorded for week 144 represents that and other important events that occurred in my life recently, which are the reason I come back now. I'm playing the piano again in a place where I can do it freely and I can say it's my new home, a place where I have a space for myself and to create the life I want to have. It's a big step that my partner, which is the family that I have physically close to me, and I, were able to achieve recently and I want this very positive turn of events to be reflected in everything I do. The intention of this greeting and update of my personal life is to be able to connect with you again, and not just to suddenly come to the community and as if nothing had happened after so long, since all the times I came to make music together to you, every time I came and went, you always made me feel welcome

Now, let's talk about music, this is Chopin's Nocturne No. 2 opus 9, in E flat. This nocturne has one of the sweetest melodies I've ever heard, for this reason, and for other characteristics of this musical form, it seemed to me that it fits perfectly with this week's theme, chosen by @lyon-89 “Melodic Dose”.

The nocturne is a musical form developed mainly in the 19th century, of which Chopin is one of its most famous exponents, although it was already used in compositions before, since it was born as a type of pieces intended to be heard at night, so there its name, and whose most outstanding characteristics are those of having a very sung melody, generally accompanied by soft and expressive arpeggios. Later, in the romantic period, this concept of musical pieces created to be listened to at night became more associated with a darker type of melody, with more sweetness and fantasy, like the night itself. This was the type of Nocturne that Chopin developed with his 21 Nocturnes.

Although mine is the interpretation of someone who has lost a lot of practice since her piano student years, I did it from the heart and I hope you enjoy it. Thank you for being here listening to me and giving me your support and thanks once again to the creators and mates of the Hive Open Mic

Hola queridos hivers y querida comunidad del Hive Open Mic. Durante mi larga ausencia extrañé mucho estar aquí con ustedes participando en este espacio que ha sido creado con tanto amor y que ustedes han hecho crecer siempre compartiendo más y más música. Hoy quiero unirme de nuevo a ustedes, y con esto reafirmo mi regreso a Hive, una vez más, después de tantos tropiezos, me levanto, y este video que he grabado para la semana 144 representa eso y otros hechos importantes que ocurrieron en mi vida hace poco, y que son la razón de que vuelva ahora. Estoy tocando nuevamente el piano en un lugar en el que lo puedo hacer con libertad y del que puedo decir que es mi nuevo hogar, un lugar en el que tengo un espacio para mí y para crear la vida que quiero tener, es un gran paso que mi pareja, que es la familia que tengo físicamente cerca de mí, y yo, pudimos lograr recientemente y quiero que este giro de acontecimientos tan positivo se refleje en todo lo que haga. La intención de este saludo y actualización de mi vida personal es poder conectar de nuevo con ustedes, y no simplemente llegar a la comunidad de repente y como si nada hubiese pasado después de tanto tiempo, ya que todas las veces que vine a hacer música junto a ustedes, cada vez que fui y vine, siempre me hicieron sentir bienvenida

Ahora sí, hablemos de música, este es el Nocturno nº2 opus 9 de Chopin, en Mi bemol. Este nocturno tiene una de las melodías más dulces que he escuchado, por eso, y por otras características propias de esta forma musical, me pareció que encaja perfecto con el tema de esta semana, escogido por @lyon-89 “Melodic Dose”.

El nocturno es una forma musical desarrollada sobre todo en el siglo XIX, de la cual Chopin es uno de sus exponentes más famosos, aunque ya se utilizaba en composiciones anteriormente, desde que nació como un tipo de piezas pensadas para ser escuchadas de noche, de allí su nombre. Sus características más resaltantes son las de tener una melodía muy cantada, acompañada generalmente por arpegios suaves y expresivos. Luego, en el período romántico este concepto de piezas musicales para escuchar por la noche se fue asociando más a un tipo de melodía más oscura, con más dulzor y fantasía, como la noche misma. Este fue el tipo de Nocturno que Chopin desarrolló con sus 21 Nocturnos.

Aunque la mía es la interpretación de alguien ha perdido mucha práctica desde sus años de estudiante de piano, la hice de corazón y espero que la disfruten. Gracias por estar aquí escuchándome y dándome su apoyo y gracias una vez más los creadores y compañeros del Hive Open Mic
