It's been a few weeks since I brought a retro gameplay to the community and today I thought it would be a good idea to share one. I took advantage of my Christmas break to test some games with the Redream emulator which you already know is for Dreamcast, a console that from my point of view revolutionized the gaming world for its excellent graphics and wonderful games that today still attract nostalgic people like me.

Han pasado algunas semanas desde que traje un retro gameplay a la comunidad y hoy pensé que sería buena idea compartir uno. Aproveché que estoy de descanso por las navidades para probar algunos juegos con el emulador Redream el cual ya saben que es para Dreamcast, una consola que desde mi punto de vista revolucionó el mundo del gaming por sus excelentes gráficos y por los juegos maravillosos que hoy en día siguen atrayendo personas nostálgicas como lo es mi caso.

Sonic Adventure 2 was released in 2001 and I see it is a much improved version of the previous ones. In this game, Dr. Eggman is associated with Shadow which is a dark hedgehog to try to defeat Sonic once and for all. The game mode is by missions and when you select the story mode you have the option to choose "Hero" and "Dark", I chose the one that involves the famous blue hedgehog.

Sonic Adventure 2 se lanzó en el año 2001 y por lo veo viene a ser una versión bastante mejorada respecto a las anteriores. En este juego, Dr Eggman se asocia con Shadow el cual es un erizo oscuro para tratar de vencer de una ver por todas a Sonic. La modalidad de juego es por misiones y al selecciones el modo historia tienes la opción de elegir "Hero" y "Dark", yo por mi parte elegí la que involucra al famoso erizo azul.

This game gives us a fairly fluid gameplay, the spaces in which Sonic moves allow us to move easily and with the speed that characterizes the ability of the blue hedgehog. The typical golden rings are of course part of the game and we must try to collect as many as possible. The colors are very intense and very consistent with what Dreamcast games offered us at that time, this aspect is undoubtedly a trademark of that console.

Este juego nos brinda una jugabilidad bastante fluida, los espacios en los que Sonic se mueve permiten que podamos desplazarnos con facilidad y con la velocidad que caracteriza la habilidad del erizo azul. Los típicos aros dorados son por supuesto parte del juego y debemos de tratar de recolectar la mayor cantidad posible. Los colores son muy intensos y muy acordes a lo que los juegos de Dreamcast nos ofrecían en esa época, éste aspecto es sin duda una marca registrada de la mencionada consola.

In this first mission we had to escape from the army. I had to go through trying to eliminate those robots which honestly did not offer much resistance, but I guess this is because it is the first mission, maybe with time they will become more difficult to eliminate and frankly I hope so because that would give more dynamism to the game.

En esta primera misión debíamos escapar del ejercito. Tuve que transitar tratando de eliminar a esos robot los cuales sinceramente no afrecieron mayor resistencia, pero supongo que esto es porque es la primera misión, quizá con el tiempo se van volviendo más difíciles de eliminar y francamente eso espero ya que eso le daría mayor dinamismo al juego.

The following image reminds me a lot of a stage of the game Persiman, in fact the truck has an impressive resemblance, but in this particular stage of the game is much easier because although it is true that there are obstacles, in Pepsiman they are more complex to overcome, in this one you just have to go through.

La siguiente imagen me recuerda mucho a un stage del juego Persiman, de hecho el camión tiene un parecido impresionante, pero en esta etapa en particular del juego es mucho más fácil ya que si bien es cierto hay obstáculos, en Pepsiman son más complejos de superar, en éste solo tienes que transitar.

So, I'm left with a game that leaves very good feelings, although I must improve a lot in the game to finish taking the necessary taste to become addictive for me. Entonces bien, me quedo con un juego que deja muy buenas sensaciones, aunque debo mejorar mucho en el juego para terminar de tomarle el gusto necesario para que se vuelva adictivo para mi. ¿Volveré a jugarlo?, la verdad no estoy seguro, pero lo que si quería era compartirlo con ustedes a través de este gameplay.
