The song talk about lost love, regret and memories of shared in a past relationship. There is a saying that says you never value what you have unless you loose it, The author of the song is full of regrets for not giving value to his relationship, wishing to get a second chancce to make things right with his lover but he is well aware that it was too late for him.
We should all learn from the author's experience, a valueable lesson of giving all that we can give in a relationship to prove to our partner our sincere commitment their and importance in our life avoiding a life full of regrets in the end.
