Hello Hive Open Mic community!
I'm once again excited to be join for the theme of this week. The theme seemed kinda easy to get a song for but somehow, it took me up till yesterday to come up with a song idea for my entry and I'm glad I wasn't late to share mine.

Thanks to our spotlight artist for this week @jessicaossom the theme for this week took an interesting turn for me as I found myself directly a song to another way and I love that I did it. I decided to sing the song "Flashlight by Jessie J" and anyone who knows the song might easily say it doesn't really connect with the theme aside the word "Light" in it but here is my thought when I sang this cover.

Jesus is the light of the world, and the world has you and I whom He guides and loves so much daily from all the things we enjoy and live freely on. So I decided to direct the song to Jesus Christ as my "Flashlight". From the lyrics, you'll agree that Jesus is and can be more than all that is said in it to us.

I am only affirming his love for me through this song even though the artist didn't sing the song in that direction. I do hope you enjoy the song like I did singing it to the one I choose to sing it to.

Una vez más estoy emocionado de unirme al tema de esta semana. Parecía un poco fácil conseguir una canción para el tema, pero de alguna manera, me tomó hasta ayer pensar en una idea de canción para mi entrada y me alegro de no haber llegado tarde para compartir la mía.

Gracias a nuestra artista destacada de esta semana @jessicaossom, el tema de esta semana dio un giro interesante para mí, ya que me encontré directamente con una canción de otra manera y me encanta haberlo hecho. Decidí cantar la canción "Flashlight by Jessie J" y cualquiera que conozca la canción podría decir fácilmente que no se conecta realmente con el tema aparte de la palabra "Light" en ella, pero aquí está mi pensé cuando canté esta versión.

Jesús es la luz del mundo, y el mundo te tiene a ti ya mí, a quienes Él guía y ama tanto diariamente de todas las cosas que disfrutamos y vivimos libremente. Así que decidí dirigir la canción a Jesucristo como mi "Linterna". Por la letra, estarás de acuerdo en que Jesús es y puede ser más que todo lo que se nos dice en ella.

Solo estoy afirmando su amor por mí a través de esta canción aunque el artista no cantó la canción en esa dirección. Espero que disfrutes la canción como lo hice yo cantándosela a la persona a la que elijo cantársela.

Un agradecimiento especial a la comunidad y al artista destacado de esta semana, es un tema hermoso.
