Maná ha sido una de las bandas más influyentes del rock en español, a pesar de eso, los ignore muchas veces. Debo admitir que su música es buena, a nivel de sonidos emblemáticos del rock latino, son bastante formidables, temas como "Mariposa traicionera" o "Labios compartidos" son canciónnes fantásticas que he admirado bastante. Recuerdo que mi madre tenía un disco de una gira de Maná, el disco era original y tenía un concierto completo de esa gira, con algunos extras de fotos y vídeos tras bastidores, y wow, la vida del rock star tiene sus excesos y se ve que los integrantes de Maná se lanzaban sus fiestas frenéticas. Volviendo al tema, hubo una vez que me puse a escuchar ese disco y las canciones me gustaron bastante, sobre todo las te mencioné al principio, después de eso no los volví a escuchar como tal, creo que nunca busque mucho su música más que todo por las letras, las letras de Maná siempre me han parecido muy genéricas, siempre hablando de amor y despecho, lo cual no me parece tan interesante.

A pesar de que no buscará mucho empaparme de la banda, "labios compartidos" ha sido una canción que siempre me ha gustado, sonando en mi cabeza en muchas ocasiones. Hace unos días volví a recordarla, así que se me ocurrió aprenderla para traerla al hive Music festival. Estuve eligiendo el tono donde la iba a tocar, ya que de por si la canción es alta incluso para tenores, así que logré encontrar un tono prudente para mí voz.

A pesar de que dije que los temas de amor y despecho me ahuyentan un poco, esta canción lleva plasmado un sentimiento hermoso, una melodía que hace entender la emoción de impotencia y hambre de amor. Además de su forma sonora conmovedora e inspiradora, también me agrada un poco la historia de amor que narra la letra, la cual es algo extraña y creo que trata de describir a un hombre que está enamorado de una mujer, la cual no tiene nada serio con él y lo tiene como sus amante, un papel que muchos hemos jugado, y digo hemos porque incluyo en eso; irónicamente, fue un amante en un momento y lo más loco fue que no le di cuenta si no hasta hace poco que lo pensé bien. Para contar el la historia resumida, durante la pandemia y los dias en las que ponían flexibilización ofrecía clases de canto, resulta que solo tuve una alumna que me llevaba un par de años, debo admitir que ella tenía talento para el canto y aprendió bastante rápido, pero creo que los dos nos empezamos a gustar y bueno, medio salió un romance ahí, recuerdo que ella me decía que se estaba separando de su novio, pero cuando iba a su casa a llevarle regalos, a veces lo veía a él supuesto ex salir de casa de la chica. Cómo yo era un poco más inocente en esa época, no me imaginé nada raro, pero ahora que lo pienso, estaba compartiendo labios con otro hombre 🤣🤣🤣 y no me habia dado cuenta! Así que se lo que se siente todo lo que está canción dice. Al final la chica me rechazo por completo, pero bueno, fue lo mejor.

Maná has been one of the most influential bands of rock en español, in spite of that, I ignored them many times. I must admit that their music is good, in the realm of emblematic Latin rock sounds, they are quite formidable, songs like "Mariposa traicionera" or "Labios compartidos" are fantastic songs that I have admired a lot. I remember my mother had a record of a Maná tour, the record was original and had a complete concert of that tour, with some extras of behind the scenes photos and videos, and wow, rock star life has its excesses and you can see that the members of Maná were throwing their frenetic parties. Back to the subject, there was a time when I started listening to that album and I liked the songs quite a lot, especially the ones I mentioned at the beginning, after that I never listened to them again as such, I guess I never really looked for their music mostly because of the lyrics, Maná's lyrics have always seemed very generic to me, always talking about love and spite, which I don't find that interesting.

Even though I won't be looking for much to soak in the band, "labios compartidos" has been a song that I've always liked, playing in my head on many occasions. A few days ago I remembered it again, so it occurred to me to learn it to bring it to the hive Music festival. I was choosing the key where I was going to play it, since the song itself is high, even for tenors, so I managed to find a prudent tone for my voice.

Although I said that the themes of love and spite scare me a little, this song has a beautiful feeling, a melody that makes you understand the emotion of helplessness and hunger for love. Besides its touching and inspiring sound, I also like the love story that narrates the lyrics, which is somewhat strange and I think it tries to describe a man who is in love with a woman, who has nothing serious with him and has him as her lover, a role that many of us have played, and I say we have because I include in that; ironically, he was a lover at a time and the craziest thing was that I did not realize it until recently that I thought about it well. To tell the story in a nutshell, during the pandemic and the days when they put flexibilization I offered singing lessons, it turns out that I only had one student who had been with me for a couple of years, I must admit that she had talent for singing and learned pretty fast, but I think we both started to like each other and well, a romance started there, I remember that she told me that she was separating from her boyfriend, but when I went to his house to bring him gifts, sometimes I saw the supposed ex leaving the girl's house. Since I was a bit more innocent at the time, I didn't imagine anything weird, but come to think of it, I was sharing lips with another man 🤣🤣🤣🤣 and I hadn't realized it! So I know what everything this song says feels like. In the end the girl completely rejected me, but hey, it was for the best.
