Greetings dear friends of the great Hive Open MIc family! We reached week 136 and it is very special for me because I had to choose the theme that will be developed in this edition and the truth is that I was very excited.

Let's Rock (Vamos a rockear) beyond referring to a musical genre, is a form of expression in which we just want the music to never stop, at least that's how I see it and that's what I wanted to convey for this week, that music, whatever genre it is, allows us to express ourselves freely and feel every note with heart and soul.

That's why I chose the very famous song "Y mi banda toca el rock", originally composed by Ivano Fossati from Genoa in 1979. This song was also covered by the Puerto Rican group Menudo, who made it very famous in Latin America and was also covered by the Italian Laura Pausini for her 2006 album Yo Canto.

Why did I choose it? Well, simply because the lyrics speak of the freedom that music gives us and when it reaches the deepest part of your being, it makes you feel that your soul lives, that's why it is impossible to stop all of us who express ourselves through this beautiful art. I hope you enjoy this version and let's all rock out.

I share with you a great joy: finally I no longer have the cast, I still can't play the guitar, but I'm working for my recovery to be fast and play again. I wish you all a great week.

¡Saludos queridos amigos de la gran familia de Hive Open MIc! Llegamos a la semana 136 y es muy especial para mí porque me tocó escoger el tema que se desarrollará en esta edición y la verdad eso me emocionó muchísimo.

Let’s Rock (Vamos a rockear) más allá de hacer referencia a un género musical, es una forma de expresión en la que solamente deseamos que la música no pare jamás, por lo menos así lo veo yo y eso lo que quise transmitir para esta semana, que la música, sea el género que sea, nos permita expresarnos con libertad y sentir cada nota con el alma y el corazón.

Es por eso que escogí el muy famoso tema “Y mi banda toca el rock”, compuesta originalmente por el genovés Ivano Fossati en el año 1979. Esta canción fue versionada también por el grupo puertorriqueño Menudo, quienes la hicieron muy famosa en américa latina y también fue versionada por la italiana Laura Pausini para su álbum Yo Canto del año 2006.

¿Por qué la escogí? Pues sencillamente porque la letra habla de la libertad que nos da la música y cuando llega a lo más profundo de tu ser, te hace sentir que tu alma vive, por eso es imposible que puedan detener a todos los que nos expresamos a través de este bello arte. Espero que disfruten esta versión y vamos todos a rockear.

Comparto con ustedes una gran alegría: finalmente ya no tengo el yeso, aún no puedo tocar la guitarra, pero estoy trabajando para que mi recuperación sea rápida y volver a tocar. Les deseo a todos una linda semana.
