    About :

Hello dear community. Today I come to share with you a small manual work that I did. It is a quite old technique and it is known as "Fore-edge painting"

This is nothing more than a scene, drawing or decoration painted on the edge of a book. The oldest paintings of this type, of which we have knowledge, date from the 10th century and are nothing more than symbolic designs that were supposed to identify or differentiate one book from another. However, it was not until the 18th and 19th centuries that it became quite popular. Today it is an almost lost art, but not entirely :)

I don't want to give too many details about the historical development of this curious practice because for that I will make a more extensive post, with many images and explaining in detail.
For the moment this "video making off" is only to show you this specimen that I made, very simple, but it looks very beautiful and I enjoyed it a lot doing it. I hope you like the result.
If you want to know more about this technique and how many beautiful things can be done, leave me a comment to know that you read me and soon I leave the post so that you can enjoy this beautiful art.

    A hug, see you soon

    Versión en Español

Hola hola querida comunidad.
