Miracles are ordinary events that happen in an extraordinary or unexplainable way. Put differently, these are events that raise no eye brow if they were to happen in a different circumstance. For instance, Mr A was diagnosed of Cancer, but was asked to follow his routine checkup to get better. After months of routine checkups, if Mr. A recovers fully, it'll be scientifically explained that he had his follow-up checkup and that's what led to his full recovery.
On the other hand, Mrs. B was diagnosed with a terminal cancer and the doctors had given her 2 months to live. They also suggested that she follows the routine checkup so that she lives up to the 2 months window. However, in one of the routine scan the doctors could no longer find any trace of cancer in her body system. This is indeed unexplainable and extraordinary, even science marvels at such events.
In the ordinary sense, the follow-up scans and checkup could have helped Mrs. B become completely healthy like Mr. A, but the situation of Mrs. B is such that she was already living on borrowed time, waiting for everything to end. So, yes, hers was an extraordinary experience, a miracle.
Also, as undervalued as waking up from the bed is, I consider it as one of the greatest miracles because there's no assurance that when you sleep during the night, you must wake up the next day. So many die in their sleep, yet, we wake up everyday, and we need to be grateful for it. And yes, it is a miracle.
Do you believe in miracles?
Onise Iyanu is a gospel song by Nathaniel Bassey that speaks about God as the Miracle worker; the One who does awesome wonders.
I see the miraculous hand of God in my life everyday and in all things I do. I feel His presence, his Divine grace, his gentle touch and inspiration.
The truth is that you don't need to be a Christian and you don't need to believe in God to experience miraculous events. In fact, it is necessary that they motivate you to reflect and wonder on such occurrences. Truthfully, there are some that are staged just for "Advertisements" or "PR" for the minister. But, that doesn't rule out the fact that there are real miracles. Miracles that'll make you seek possible answers to explain such events, but.... where Logic and science fails, faith supplements. Logic and science can only determine that which are empirical, which exists in the physical world; and they are useless in the metaphysical world. Yet, ruling the metaphysical because science and logic cannot explain it is argument based on ignorance (argumentum ad ignoratiam).
Ooo, I'm talking too much.
I hope you enjoy my cover. And please don't mind the old man @onos-f clapping at the background (lol).
