    Greetings everyone!

There's no better feeling than waking up with a heart filled with excitement. Yeah, that was my situation when I woke up this morning. My country won a very fiery football match yesterday against South Africa, and being a die-hard fan of the national team, I couldn't contain my joy.

    Okay,
Before the match, I and @humbe happened to have a conversation, and along the way, the banter was too much (of course from my end), so we decided to stake 5Hive each: if my country (Nigeria) wins, I collect it all, and if her country wins, she takes it all. I wanted it to be 50Hive staking, but she was scared and begged to keep it at 5Hive 🤣

I was so confident about the match that there was no cause for alarm.

I wanted to feel the match in a special way, so I decided to go to a football arena to watch it instead of being alone and streaming on my phone.
I got there some minutes before the match, and as you can see in the video, motorcycles were already packed by motorcyclists who were already in for the match.

    Patriotic people

One special thing about any Nigerian match is that it has a way of pulling up some crazy patriotism in the hearts of people.
When it's the national anthem for Nigeria, one man stood up and joined to sing along. People were laughing at him, but he remained focused, expressing his patriotism.

The match and adrenaline were dragging.

To be honest, the Banana Banana (South Africa team) were thorns in our flesh. They strongly blocked every channel and made it so difficult for us to score a goal.

But finally, a penalty was added to us via Victor Osimhen, and hey, that was the moment we all became afraid. HOW?
Their keeper is very good at keeping penalty shoots, especially from the record he had in the last match.
Miraculously, our captain took the responsibility and put the ball in the net, and everywhere in Nigeria, at that moment, was covered with shouts of jubilation.

    They equalised through penalties.

The full 90 minutes ended in a 1:1 draw.

The match entered into 30-minute extra time.

The first 15 minutes ended with still 1:1.

The final 15 minutes came to an end with the same 1:1.

    Penalty shootouts

We won with four goals, and they only got two goals.

    Hurray!!!
