Ken Griffin is the multi billionaire CEO of Citadel and Citadel Securities, which are both a huge hedge fund and a market maker.

This gives Ken enormous power in the financial world.

Ken has been lining the pockets of politicians from all parties for many many years. Some might say he has been buying protection and influence.

On January 28 2021, Robinhood and other brokerages simultaneously prevented retail investors from buying certain stocks, such as GameStop and AMC. The allegation many are making is that this was at the behest of Citadel, who had huge short positions against these stocks. Effectively, this was market manipulation at the highest level.

Ken Griffin testified to the US House Financial Committee that neither he, nor anyone from his firm, had colluded with Robinhood or other brokers to make this happen.

But court documents revealed in September 2021 appear to contradict his testimony. If this is true, Ken Griffin lied under oath.

Citadel and their like are so powerful, they can shape the economies of nations. They can bankrupt businesses and destroy people's livelihoods. They have got away with it for far too long, protected by the politicians and the regulators who they have in their pockets.
