"PALINA"

The word "Palina" is a Cebuano term which means a kind of fumigation practised for medical treatment or for various rites according to cebuano.pinoydictionary.com.

My baby Matti had been having some trapped wind when he was still younger. As a baby, he is still unable to manage this so I would usually give him an ILoveYou massage on his tummy but the case continues so my mother told me that we need to apply Palina to baby Matti.

There were a few items needed such as the charcoal and other pills which I don't know the names. It was my mother who is used to this kind.

So my mother placed the pills into the charcoal and once melted and the smoke rises, the baby has to be placed on top receiving the scented smoke. It only took a few seconds of exposure and he was covered afterward.
