Talisay Beach Anda Bohol Philippines

Our family's dream of having a beach to ourselves was finally realized when we visited Talisay Beach in Bacong, Anda, Bohol, Philippines.

First, we headed to a different public beach named Bugnaw CE but then, it was full, there were so many people around that we turned back, my father suggested that we go check out this beach which was near his officemate's house.

This beach is also nearby a tourist spot, Cabagnow Cave Pool which was very popular pre-pandemic. I will take you there in the next blog but for today, let's go check out Talisay Beach!

Upon arrival, we found some cottages which were already a little damaged, no maintenance, the roofs were already tattered, some fishermen were sleeping in there, and they welcomed us! They said the cottage fees were only Php 100. This is way cheaper than other public beach's. They said the local government here are not supportive with the fishermen who are managing this beach so they are left without support.

The beach is not clean, there are so many seagrasses along the shoreline, there are also dry leaves and branches of trees, perhaps they were from the previous rains and storms. There are many boats docked and I suppose only a few people knows that there's a public beach here. If only the shore is cleaner, I believe more will come and visit this place!

As for the waters, it was low tide when we visited it so it has this muddy effect when being stepped on. If it's high tide, i guess the experience would have been better.

Anyways, it was still great that we had the place to ourselves, we had fun looking for some seashells and the kids enjoyed the water, Matti loved walking in the sand! Watch the video to learn more about the beach!
