Oshannus Takes On Iziar

I want Iziar badly it just wouldn't come my way. I have come up against it a few times and end up on the losing and wining side. From what I picked up with Iziar, when properly used strategically with a suitable ruleset, it can be a pain to fight against for the Taunt and Void Magic abilities it has.

It will be interesting to see the abilities it has when upgraded, I am unable to see the now since I don't have a copy yet.

Keep Your Distance: Monsters With Melee attack may not be used in battle.
So it was was a Keep Your Distance, a ruleset I often enjoy. It took me a while to make up my mind with my lineup as I was trying not to lose the battle.

I opted for DJINN OSHANNUS in the first place because it is a card suitable to be played in any position and even performs well in a ruleset of this kind. Another advantage that ended up working well with Djinn Oshannus was using it with summoner Bortus with -1 magic on enemy monsters.

Oshannus is packed with impressive stats, great speed of 5 at level 2, magic damage of 2, high health with Void and Phase abilities. You don't want to be fighting against Oshannus in a fight when everything is going well for the magic beast.

I was concerned about Affliction enemy card against Oshannus, the likes of Dr. Blight could make things bad for Oshannus but I went for MERDAALI GUARDIAN in the second spot for the Tank Heal abilities it has.

ANGELIC MANDARIN takes up the third spot in my lineup, though it is a low mana cost of 17 battle, I can't rule out Sneak, Snipe or Blast attacks so I included Angelic Mandarin in my lineup to provide the Triage ability for the backline friendly monsters.

Tough I like Iziar, and can't wait to have a copy of it, I enjoyed emerging victorious against it this time out on the battleground.
