Un saludo amoroso para todos mis amigos de Hive, es un placer para mí estar una vez más en la gran tarima de open mic, esta vez con el tema “Hopeful”. Para ello les traje una canción muy hermosa y sentida del compositor y cantante mexicano Álvaro Carrillo Alarcón, titulada “Un poco más”. Esta es una gran joya de la música de nuestro continente, ha sido interpretada por muchos artistas de gran reconocimiento. Una de mis versiones favoritas es la de la película mexicana del 2014 llamada “Carmín tropical” así como la de Lila Downs.

La razón por la que quise traer esta canción para esta semana es porque nos cuenta la historia de un amante que aun atropellado por la tristeza y por el desamor guarda la esperanza de que algo lo mantenga unido a la persona querida. Creo que no hay una esperanza más poderosa que esa, la del amor que se niega a morir. Y ¿por qué no? Si el amor es algo que nos hace tanto bien que no guardar esta esperanza de su perdurabilidad es antinatural.

Así que espero que disfruten de mi interpretación a capela, este es mi regalo para todos lo que creen en el amor, le deseo que esa esperanza siempre este viva. Hasta la próxima.

A loving greeting to all my Hive friends, it is a pleasure for me to be once again on the big open mic stage, this time with the song "Hopeful". For this I brought you a very beautiful and heartfelt song by Mexican composer and singer Alvaro Carrillo Alarcón, titled "Un poco más". This is a great jewel of the music of our continent, it has been interpreted by many artists of great recognition. One of my favorite versions is the one from the 2014 Mexican movie called "Carmín tropical" as well as the one by Lila Downs.

The reason why I wanted to bring this song for this week is because it tells us the story of a lover who, even though hit by sadness and heartbreak, keeps the hope that something will keep him/her united to the loved one. I believe there is no hope more powerful than that, the hope of love that refuses to die. And why not, if love is something that does us so much good that not keeping this hope of its endurance is unnatural.

So I hope you enjoy my a cappella interpretation, this is my gift to all who believe in love, I wish you that hope is always alive. See you next time.
