    About :

Once upon a time it was a deep and fast Minusinsk channel of the Yenisei; during spring floods, its bed cleaned itself, the water carried sand and silt into the Yenisei. At this point the channel was navigable, river passenger ships came to the pier, barges were loaded with grain, watermelons and vegetables.
In the 70s of the last century, to protect the city from floods, several dams with locks were built upstream.
By 1990, it became clear that the small river Minusinka, which flows into the channel on the right, was filling the channel with sand and silt. By the beginning of the 21st century, shipping in this area was over.
Instead of a full-flowing river, there are now several ponds, which are gradually overgrown with algae and silted up.
This is what thoughtless human economic activity can lead to.
