Day 2 - Biden Speaks On Ukraine - Fighting in Kiev

Russian advances in the southeast and north of the country continued over night, with fighting in the air & on the ground within the capital city of Kiev itself.

President Biden spoke on the invasion, promising that no US troops will be sent to Ukraine. Sanctions will be placed on Russian banks, businessman and most likely Putin himself. Close to 7,000 troops will be sent to the Germany to sure up NATO terrority. Discussions about removing Russia from SWIFT have moved forward, with Germany now open to the idea.

Putin has stated he is ready to talk "Terms of surrender" with Ukraine, with Zelenskiy's inital "readiness" to discuss Ukrainian neutrality moving forward. This would mean no NATO membership, no arms from the West, and some type of mutual understanding. The Kermlin is saying that the request for talks in Minsk were denied by Ukraine, who instead want talks (if any) in Poland.
