Another week has come and gone, working from home again which I can't say I'm hating. I am a home body.
This extra time I save not driving should be spent exercising, or doing something constructive, but it just seems that I'm working longer hours. I am lucky I enjoy my job.
One constructive thing I have been doing is practicing a lot more guitar however this song didn't really take much of that.
I spend way too much time looking for songs to learn. https://remixpacks.ru/ is a great resource for backing tracks and you can look for ages and ages, and then pick something like this. I remember this song as being one of my daughter’s favourites back in the day, and being quite rare that any of the songs she listen to had guitar in them, it kind of stood out. I am a sucker for a catchy pop song and this one got me.
A capo to make the G, D, Em, C chord (shaped) progression sound a bit different with a butt load of compression and chorus, some funky octave strumming and an overdriven funk bridge. Very non-offensive, although @deadspace may disagree. I am looking to try something in drop D or even C one of these days. Maybe a Wiggles tune!
Enjoy! And I apologise if you don't.
