This was recorded last week but I got dragged away on a loooong weekend with the wifes side of the family
and didn't get a chance to post it. We went a couple of hours from home to a small country town called Bendigo. Needless to say I'm happy to be home again.
There are quite a few guitar parts in this song, the easiest is the intro riff which is just power chords. I learned this part years ago, but just recently saw a tutorial for the clean picked verse part. It was trickier than I thought and have been practicing it for ages. Over and over and over again, until the family tells me to shut up.
It wasn't until I got that repeating clean riff down that I even looked at the solo. It's a weird one with a pitch shift affect up a 4th. I went into my pro-licenced version of Bias-FX to give this a go and found that my inferior licence didn't allow this. I needed and ultilmate version.... yay.... I use Bias all the time and figured it was only a matter of time before I upgraded anyway. So $130 later and we have a solo! Got some fancy pants editing in there as well which was a bit of fun.
Hope you all enjoy it. I'm back to work tomorrow to enjoy some quiet time away from extended family.
