Hello everyone! Welcome to another episode of Hive Learner's Creative Sunday Initiative with George Dee. Every Sunday, members and non-members of this great community share creative ideas that other members of the community can learn from. Speaking from experience, it's always fun and educational.

For some weeks now, I have gotten some feedback on how I inspire people to try out new recipes, and I feel really great about it. I want to use this opportunity to say thank you to everyone who takes time to watch my videos and engages with them. Special thanks to the community moderators; you guys are awesome.

For today's entry, I created magic from potatoes and sausage. Trust me when I say this is magic, because that's exactly what it is. The outcome is a delicious snack that will make you want more and crave this recipe from time to time.

This snack is somehow close to the potato ball recipe, but just a little upgrade to it took things to a whole new level. I stumbled on this recipe online and really wanted to give it a try since it made me salivate whenever I thought about it.

You can call this a potato and sausage roll, because that seems to be the name that best describes it. I don't know where this snack originated from, but it's one of the best snacks out there. It's nutritious, delicious, cheap, and very easy to prepare.

The recipes aren't much, they are:

    • Sausage
    • Potatoes
    • Salt
    • Seasoning cubes
    • Pepper
    • Groundnut oil
    • Onions.

I bet this is my first time. I made something out of this small quantity of ingredients, and it will interest you to know that you can enjoy this with your family for less than $2. We really don't need to break the bank before enjoying healthy and delicious snacks.

    Preparation.

Let's always remember that health is wealth, and it is important that our ingredients are always clean before use. We must observe personal hygiene because it's very important.

I started by peeling the potatoes before rinsing them in clean water. I boiled the potatoes without adding any ingredients until they became soft.

While the potato was boiling, I rinsed the sausages and cut them into small pieces. I blended the pepper with a hand blender and also cut the onions into smaller sizes.

By the time I finished, the potatoes had cooked properly, so I turned them into a small mortar and mashed the potatoes until everything was completely mashed.

I turned the mashed potatoes into a bowl and waited for them to cool because I would mix them with my hands, and it would be a mistake to put my hands into hot mashed potatoes.

After it got cool, I added a small quantity of flour, the sausage, onions, pepper, a little salt, and half a cube of seasoning. I started mixing with my hand until the mixture thickened and formed a dough.

I cut the dough bit by bit, formed a ball with it, and even rolled the ball between my palms to form the shape below.

I moved on to heating the groundnut oil in a deep frying pan and started putting the pieces one after the other into the hot oil.

I fried under low heat and made sure that I watched the potatoes and sausage roll fry to prevent them from burning.

Immediately after they were fried, I removed them from the oil and placed them in a basket to get rid of the excess oil.

The snacks are yummy, and I love the fact that I made them really spicy. It's really delicious, and I can assure you that trying this at home won't be a waste of time.
