    About :

Hi friends of Hive and my Hive Open Mic family, I'm Fernando Benedetti from @fernanblog; last week was amazing, but this week will not be far behind because our dear @bernice001 chose a very cool theme: Nothing Is Impossible...

That's right, nothing is impossible as long as we have life, conviction and health to fight hard for what we long for. Personally, I will go a little bit into my history with music so that those who read me and believe that something is difficult to achieve can see in me one more example among many that I know there are here among us.

I think everyone knows that I am a psychologist and that while I was studying my career I started to dabble in music, what they don't know is that I suffered a lot when I formed my first rock band...

I am not a professional musician, in fact, I am terrible with theory, all my life I have been pragmatic and I learn by doing. In college, and still today, people ask me how I graduated as a psychologist if I didn't combine much with theory; well, I really attribute it to vocation, because I can't find any other explanation hahaha, in fact, I was one of the best in my class and in my city I was a very well known psychologist, so much so that I was on TV and radio on several occasions.

With music something similar happened to me; I learned to play guitar thanks to my dad who taught me the major and minor chords, I practiced them until I managed to master them. With time I had to watch some lessons to expand my knowledge, but... guess what? I could never understand the music theory, it was easier to see how my teacher did the chords and I copied them, in short I developed my own study method for a long time and I still do it...

I liked to attend rehearsals of friends who had bands and also went to concerts to learn more about the world of sound and the stage presence of an artist. I would watch a lot of music videos and then try to emulate poses and feats that my favorite artists did. But... what happened when I decided to pursue music on a more formal level?

When I ventured out to form my band, no one believed in me, not even my family and I dreamed of being a Rockstar, so much so that I wrote songs and said, I will visit music schools to recruit talent. Obviously many laughed at me, because I had no experience at all, but one day I decided to enroll in a famous music academy in my city with the purpose of getting musicians who felt affinity for my music and the miracle happened... a guy who played drums heard one of my songs and said let's Rock!

He became my best musical ally and friend, he understood my songs and there was a tremendous chemistry between us, just by looking at each other we knew what to do, we had almost the same musical tastes and after that we got the missing musicians.

To not extend too much, we managed to play in the best places in my city and share the stage with the best in various festivals; we got radio interviews and be heard as an emerging band at that time, and yes friends, despite how much I did not know technically about music, nothing was impossible; I could make many people believe in me and that thank God brought me to Hive many years later, where I have been able to be a Rockstar in my own way.

The song I bring you is one that the drummer and I listened to a lot after composing songs and rehearsing; it's from a band that inspired us and whose story we took as an example to succeed as a group, I'm talking about the legendary Foo Fighters and their most famous song Everlong.

During that time when I learned more about guitar, I knew the Drop tunings and the first song I learned to play in that kind of tuning was this one, a song that I thought was impossible for my level, but when I played it complete I jumped with happiness and that's why I decided to bring it to you to remind you that yes, nothing is impossible...

With music I did not rest until I achieved my goal and then what started as an individual dream, became a group dream. When the band disbanded years later, I left music, however, I continued writing songs, only that I dedicated myself to a venture I had and it was not until the pandemic began that I decided to make rock cover videos for social networks and another miracle happened: entering Hive thanks to my friends of @musicandreview and here I am sharing with you my musical culture and growing as a musician of heart and soul!!!

Without more to add, get comfortable and enjoy with me my participation for week 125 of the Hive Open Mic, so with that said... ¡Let's Rock!

PS: the cover photo is from the street where I live, I took it at 2 am.

¡A Rockear!

    Lyrics:

    Hello
    I've waited here for you
    Everlong

    Tonight, I throw myself into
    And out of the red
Out of her head, she sang

Come down and waste away with me
    Down with me
Slow, how you wanted it to be
    I'm over my head
Out of her head, she sang

    And I wonder
When I sing along with you

If everything could ever be this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
    She sang

    Breathe out
So I can breathe you in
    Hold you in
    And now
    I know you've always been
    Out of your head
Out of my head, I sang

    And I wonder
When I sing along with you

If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when
    She sang

    And I wonder

If everything could ever feel this real forever
If anything could ever be this good again
The only thing I'll ever ask of you
You've got to promise not to stop when I say when

    Letra:

    Hola
    Te he esperado aquí
    Desde hace mucho tiempo

    Esta noche, me lanzo a
    Y fuera del rojo
    Fuera de su cabeza, cantó

    Baja y deséchate conmigo
    Baja conmigo
    Lento, como querías que fuera
Estoy por encima de mi cabeza
Fuera de su cabeza, ella cantó

    Y me pregunto

    Exhala
Para que yo pueda respirar en ti
    Te sostengo dentro
    Y ahora
    Sé que siempre has estado
    Fuera de tu cabeza
    Fuera de mi cabeza, canté

    Y me pregunto

    Y me pregunto
