Hello everyone @afri-tunes community, i say happy weekend and i welcome us all to this Afri-tunes week 97. Afritunes community has been known for bringing African Music to the frontline/limelight and this is highly commendable and i say kudos. For this afritunes week 97, i will be doing the cover of the song "THIS KIND GOD" by Samuel Folabi ft Chioma Jesus in acknowledgement and appreciation of the supremacy of God as the almighty over every situation and circumstances both positive and negative because He is and will still be God. I chose this particular song as a song of assurance, encouragement and hope for this Year 2024 no matter how the current situation may look like and for someone asking about any hope for this year in that seemingly hopeless situation because once God sets in, He does only what He alone can do and it will be evident to all that this is the supernatural. The lyrical contents of this song are powerful and the instrumentation also awesome with a great vocal dexterity by the lead vocals and back-ups. Chioma Jesus touch of the Nigerian Igbo dialect is of great importance because it brings out the beauty of our own dialects/languages when singing and still maintaining the focus/reality of the song.
I believe in the power of thanksgiving through acknowledgement and trust in God and as we do so, we see this manifest in us this year even as we abound in pleasant surprises and testimonies.
