Dragon Power

After exactly one year, two new splinterlands accounts and a completely new booster series, it's time to blow off the dust on this ol' blog of mine. And what better way to do so, than by participating the weekly challenge of the game I've been busy with the past 12 months.

Our party for this game is lead by the Drake of Arnak. This card is not exactly the most powerfull summoner in the game and the reason for me playing it is simple: It was one of the cheapest lvl 3 I could afford. Bonus points for beeing a dragon, so I can play lvl 4 cards from any splinter, as long as the ruleset allows for it.

Equalizer ruleset is super fun, because it allows you to play squishy cards without worrying too much about protecting them. It's also a little bit of a gamble, because whoever uses the highest hp card gives everyone the high hp, hence you kinda want to avoid that, as it gives the enemy free hp while you pay the mana for it.

This time I decided to go for the Bone Golem as a tank. It blocks some hits with the armor and resists magic, which will scale perfectly with the expected health gain.
Diamond Dragon as a follow up is even crazier in this regard. In general a risky card, because for 10 mana it gets easily oneshot by magic, but the equalizer fixes this weakness and non-magic damage dealers will find this a nut hard to crack.

Most cards with strong stats or abilities get balanced by low hitpoints. Now imagine the card gets no health nerf and BOOM, we have an op card. All of the backline cards have strong attacks to shred through the enemy and get tons of HP from the equalizer.
