Fulía Cumanesa (Ensayo) | Esp-Eng

La Fulía Cumanesa es uno de los ritmos que más me ha impactado, pues su cadencia a contratiempo hace que sea tan única y difícil de interpretar. El Ensamble suele presentar en actividad típicas de la zona oriental como lo es la festividad de la Cruz de Mayo, entonces esta canción debe pertenecer al repertorio, ha sido popularizada por la cantante venezolana María Rodríguez, con su voz perfecta para este tipo de género musical.

En mi caso me he inspirado en la versión que hiciera Soledad Bravo, una cantante venezolana a la cual admiro, me gusta ese toque español que tiene esta canción, o al menos así lo siento yo. Aprender la letra a veces me cuesta pero en este caso fue algo fácil porque es la última frase de cada estrofa es el comienzo de la siguiente, entonces esto me facilitó el aprendizaje.

El día del ensayo nuestro mandolinista oficial no pudo asistir, así que el creador del Ensamble Tramao colaboró al tocar la mandolina en estas piezas, hablando con él me comentó que tenía mucho tiempo sin tocar así que fue todo un reto. Yo tenía curiosidad por saber cómo había aprendido a tocar mandolina y él me dijo que fue herencia de su padre, eso siempre me ha parecido genial, es hermoso ver como la música tiene un carácter de herencia.

Este fue uno de los ensayos que más retos conllevó, al final del video encontrarán un fragmento donde se incluye una respuesta que es usual escuchar en la versión más famosa de este tema, cabe destacar que la versión de Soledad no es así.

Edité un poco el audio, pero mi voz suena baja, espero que de igual forma puedan apreciar la belleza de esta pieza, les agradezco por ser tan amables y tomar de su tiempo para escuchar. ¡Mil gracias!

The Fulía Cumanesa is one of the rhythms that has impacted me the most, because its cadence against time makes it so unique and difficult to interpret. The Ensamble usually performs it in typical activities of the eastern region such as the festivity of the Cruz de Mayo, so this song must belong to the repertoire, it has been popularized by the Venezuelan singer Maria Rodriguez, with her perfect voice for this type of musical genre.

In my case I have been inspired by the version made by Soledad Bravo, a Venezuelan singer whom I admire, I like that Spanish touch that this song has, or at least that's how I feel. Learning the lyrics is sometimes difficult for me but in this case it was easy because the last phrase of each verse is the beginning of the next one, so this made it easier for me to learn.

The day of the rehearsal our official mandolinist could not attend, so the creator of the Tramao Ensemble collaborated by playing the mandolin in these pieces, talking to him he told me that he had a long time without playing so it was a challenge. I was curious to know how he had learned to play mandolin and he told me that it was inherited from his father, that has always seemed great to me, it is beautiful to see how music has an inheritance character.

This was one of the most challenging rehearsals, at the end of the video you will find a fragment where an answer that is usually heard in the most famous version of this song is included, it is worth mentioning that Soledad's version is not like that.
