Cuando regresé a mi ciudad, quedé impresionada con lo que hicieron de unas antiguas construcciones, varias de ellas concentradas en un núcleo al centro de la ciudad, son enormes, fue la primera fábrica textil de Venezuela y fue fundada en 1926, recuerdo que cuando iba a la universidad para ese entonces, estaban cerrando y quedaron en completo abandono, muchas personas quedaron sin empleo, impresionante la cantidad de personas que trabajaban allí, podría llegar a 800 según data la historia, recuerdo que hacían muchas protestas para que no cerraran, era una gran fábrica de telas con calidad nacional e internacional, exportaban sus productos a varios países de habla hispana cercanos.

Pasó muy poco tiempo, que se incendió o tal vez alguien le prendió fuego, las construcciones se fueron destruyendo y cayendo poco a poco, sin embargo se puede apreciar, el grosor de los muros y columnas, estoy hablando de la década de los 90's. Era una verdadera pena, porque el espacio que el complejo abarcaba es muy grande. hoy fue que tuve la oportunidad de caminar dentro de sus instalaciones por primera vez, ya que solo aprecié en aquella época, su construcciones por fuera, sobre todo la altura y el estilo colonial.

Ahora es patrimonio de Maracay, por lo cual, su construcción solo se puede remodelar manteniendo el estilo, mejorar, pero nunca destruir y hacerla diferente. No puedo imaginar cómo era toda esta maravilla por dentro en el año 1926.

Very little time passed, it burned down or maybe someone set fire to it, the buildings were destroyed and falling little by little, however you can appreciate the thickness of the walls and columns, I am talking about the 90's decade. It was a real shame, because the space that the complex covered is very large. Today was that I had the opportunity to walk inside its facilities for the first time, since I only appreciated at that time, its constructions on the outside, especially the height and colonial style.


Now it is patrimony of Maracay, therefore, its construction can only be remodeled keeping the style, improve, but never destroy and make it different. I can't imagine what this marvel looked like inside in 1926.
