Visiting the Museum of the Argentine Automobile Club, A Place of Relics in Time [ENG/ESP] (+40📸)

Knowing the past helps us to better understand our present and immerses us in a very meaningful experience for our lives. Places like this are full of great value.

Among so many places and museums in Buenos Aires I discovered this one in particular two days ago and decided to visit it. A museum of historic cars, relics as the title says that date from different periods ranging from the first cars that existed until the cars of the 1970s. It is a place that allows you to travel back in time, admire these vehicles and learn about our past.

Entre tantos lugares y museos de Buenos Aires descubrí éste en especial hace dos días y decidí visitarlo. Un museo de autos históricos, unas reliquias como el título lo dice que datan de distintos periodos que van desde los primeros autos que existieron hasta los autos de la década del 1970. Es un lugar que te permite viajar en el tiempo, admirar estos vehículos y conocer nuestro pasado.

For many car fanatics this place is a paradise, I am not particularly but I can say that I love to know places, plus I love to know, study and something quite particular is that I am very attracted to things of the past, which is why visiting this place was a very rewarding and exclusive experience.

Para muchos fanáticos de los autos este lugar es un paraíso, yo particularmente no lo soy pero si puedo decir que me encanta conocer lugares, además de que me encanta conocer, estudiar y algo bastante particular es que me atrae mucho las cosas del pasado, es por ello que visitar este lugar fue una experiencia bastante gratificante y exclusiva.

The museum houses automobiles from the year 1892 being one of them the most important relic that has the place, each car has a writing where it specifies with details its characteristics and its functionality in its times. At that time these primitive cars were scarce and horse-drawn carts still reigned, which is why it was also very expensive to acquire one.

The different models that are exhibited here vary and the companies that manufactured them are detailed and among these brands are: Daimler (Germany), Benz (Germany), International Harvester Company (USA), Ford (USA), Morse (France), Hudson (USA), Krieger (France), Swift (England), Peugeot (France), and an Argentine national automobile called YRUAM.

El museo alberga automóviles desde el año 1892 siendo uno de ellos la reliquia más importante que tiene el lugar, cada auto tiene un escrito dónde especifica con detalles sus características y su funcionalidad en sus tiempos. Para esa época eran escasos estos autos primitivos y aún reinaba el transporte de carretas a caballos, es por ello que también era muy costoso poder adquirir uno.

Los distintos modelos que aquí se exponen van variando y se detallan las empresas que los fabricaron y entre éstas marcas se encuentran: Daimler (Alemania), Benz (Alemania), International Harvester Company (USA), Ford (USA), Morse (Francia), Hudson (USA), Krieger (Francia), Swift (Inglaterra), Peugeot (Francia), y un automóvil nacional argentino llamado YRUAM.

The institution was founded in 1904 and is best known for providing the organization and supervision of motor sports in the country, however they went further by adding to its museum these other relics that I show you here. This institution also originated the school of drivers and for the decade of the 60's created a magazine called AutoClub.

It is located in the neighborhood of Palermo on the second floor of this building where in addition to housing cars are newspapers, magazines, trophies of drivers of national races as the case of Fangio, recognized driver of the country who drove one of the cars that are in this post.

La institución fue fundada en el año 1904 y es más conocido por brindar la organización y fiscalización de automovilismo deportivo en el país, sin embargo fueros más allá adicionando a su museo éstas otras reliquias que acá les muestro. Esta institución además originó la escuela de conductores y para la década de los 60 creo una revista llamada AutoClub.

Se encuentra ubicado en el barrio de Palermo en el primer piso de este edificio en dónde además de albergar autos se encuentran diarios, revistas, trofeos de conductores de carreras nacionales como el caso de Fangio, conductor reconocido del país que condujo uno de los autos que se encuentran en éste post.

In this section I show you some of these racing cars where we can even find a 1949 Ferrari, racing cars from Italy from the year 69. This is the main attraction of this museum, however there are only a few racing cars the day I visited. Something very important is that they are in a very good state of preservation. In the case of the other cars the deterioration is understandable since they are much older than a century or almost two, but it still makes them look more interesting.

En esta sección les muestro algunos de estos autos de carrera en dónde hasta podemos encontrar un Ferrari del año 1949, automóviles de carrera provenientes de Italia del año 69. Éste es el principal atractivo de este museo, sin embargo solo hay pocos autos de carrera el día que visité. Algo muy importante es que estos se encuentran un estado de conservación bastante bueno. En el caso de los otros autos se entiende los deterioros ya que tienen mucho más de un siglo o casi dos, pero aún así los hace ver más interesantes.

Finally in this last section I leave you the already mentioned Argentinean car that I mentioned at the beginning as well as details of the other cars inside, their steering wheels, their interior and other photographs that I took from other angles.
