¡Hola a la comunidad de Music Zone! Hoy quiero compartir con ustedes mi entrada para la semana 34 en la ronda 1 de este fantastico festival musical: un cover de la canción "Wicked Game" de Chris Isaak, el cual grabé especialmente para el Hive Music Festival. Este tema se caracteriza por su emotiva interpretación y el desafío vocal que representa cambiar de voz de garganta a falsete en el coro.
Durante el proceso de grabación, me enfoqué en mantener una atmósfera orgánica y auténtica. Comencé grabando la guitarra directamente conectada a mi interfaz de grabación, lo que me permitió capturar su sonido, una vez dentro de pro tools utilice un plugin de guitarras de la casa Neural DSP donde puedes emular amplificadores y pedales, el tono que escogí fue bien cálido y difuso con efectos de delay y reverb. Además, utilicé un micrófono dinámico Telefunken M81 para grabar mi voz, de esta manera pude grabar ambos canales en directo y lograr buena calidad y claridad en el sonido.
Una vez que tuve la toma principal en directo, decidí agregar algunos elementos adicionales para enriquecer la experiencia auditiva. Utilicé un audífono para escuchar la base y grabar las guitarras de solo y las segundas voces en el coro. Admito que fue un poco difícil mantener el tiempo adecuado debido a la falta de una pista de clic y a la suavidad de la ejecución de la guitarra base, pero estoy satisfecho con el resultado final.
Mi objetivo al grabar este cover fue transmitir la esencia y la emoción de la canción original, y espero haber logrado capturarla de una manera personal y significativa. "Wicked Game" es una pieza musicalmente rica y líricamente poderosa, y me he esforzado por rendirle el respeto que se merece a través de mi interpretación.
Para aquellos de ustedes que también disfrutan de la música y pueden relacionarse con los desafíos de grabar en casa, espero que mi experiencia les resulte inspiradora. A veces, con recursos limitados, es posible lograr resultados satisfactorios y emocionantes. La creatividad y la pasión son los ingredientes clave para superar obstáculos y alcanzar nuestras metas musicales.

Hello to the Music Zone community! Today I want to share with you my entry for week 34 in round 1 of this fantastic music festival: a cover of the song "Wicked Game" by Chris Isaak, which I recorded especially for the Hive Music Festival. This song is characterized by its emotional interpretation and the vocal challenge of changing from throat voice to falsetto in the chorus.
During the recording process, I focused on maintaining an organic and authentic atmosphere. I started by recording the guitar directly connected to my recording interface, which allowed me to capture its sound, once inside pro tools I used a guitar plugin from Neural DSP where you can emulate amps and pedals, the tone I chose was very warm and fuzzy with delay and reverb effects. In addition, I used a Telefunken M81 dynamic microphone to record my voice, this way I could record both channels live and achieve good quality and clarity in the sound.
Once I had the main live take, I decided to add some additional elements to enrich the listening experience. I used a headphone to listen to the base and record the solo guitars and second voices in the chorus. I admit it was a bit difficult to keep the right tempo due to the lack of a click track and the smoothness of the base guitar playing, but I'm pleased with the end result.
My goal in recording this cover was to convey the essence and emotion of the original song, and I hope I succeeded in capturing it in a personal and meaningful way. "Wicked Game" is a musically rich and lyrically powerful piece, and I have endeavored to pay it the respect it deserves through my interpretation.
For those of you who also enjoy music and can relate to the challenges of recording at home, I hope you find my experience inspiring. Sometimes, with limited resources, it is possible to achieve satisfying and exciting results. Creativity and passion are the key ingredients to overcome obstacles and achieve our musical goals.
