WE VISITED THE PAST 🛵 [ Eng/Esp ]

Greetings human travelers ...

On Sunday I had the opportunity to travel to the municipality of Amaga ( Colombia ); there I found a magical place, although hidden and today I want to present it to you in this post.

We traveled from Medellin by motorcycle and it took us about 1:20 ( hours ) traveling an average of 65km per hour, although there were some stretches where I got 95 km to the bike. The road is excellent to ride and it became a very fast road that connects many municipalities of the Department of Antioquia.

To get to this place called El Viaducto you have to leave the main road and start riding on an unpaved road which is not easy to maneuver (a small car with low bodywork suffers a lot on this type of road) for about 20 minutes.

When we got there we stopped at a "estadero" where we left the motorcycle and had breakfast with this delicious dish that you see in the pictures.

Within the gastronomy of this place I highlight this product called ABORRAJADO (first image top left ), which is a kind of ripe plantain with cheese which is fried and tastes delicious (do not judge the presentation). Also the flavor of that pork sausage made in a wood fire gave it a delicious taste. On this trip we spent about 25 dollars including gas on this trip including lunch.

Here began our adventure that surprised us in the soul, as we could see several animals, water sources and landscapes that one says: (the connection is magical with nature).

According to what we asked the people who lived there, years ago there was a railroad which had been the economic source of the sector, since it was located in the ruins.

Continuing along the road in the distance I could see a tunnel that said 1925, my girlfriend was a little scared but we ventured into it. There was only silence, until we were accompanied by the sound of bats and with the help of the flashlight of a cell phone we illuminated our steps (80 meters).

The truth is a wonderful experience and this was only the first of 4 tunnels that this sector has.

We met cyclists, walkers, even a group of motorcyclists from the city of Bogotá.

After passing the 4 tunnels, we walk a little more where we find the irrefutable proof that a train or railroad passed through here years ago.

We crossed this bridge, it gives a little vertigo I confess, but that's what we came to explore and learn about this magical area. We had to walk halfway across this bridge on one of its rails and put our feet together to be able to move forward.

This has been one of my best walks I have done with my girlfriend and if you come to Medellin it is mandatory to go there.

Saludos humanos viajeros como están...

El día Domingo tuve la oportunidad de viajar al municipio de Amaga ( Colombia ); allí encontré un lugar mágico, aunque escondido y hoy quiero presentárselos en este post.

Viajamos desde Medellín en moto y nos demoramos alrededor de 1:20 ( horas ) viajando un promedio de 65km por hora, aunque hubieron trayectos donde le saque 95 km a la moto. La vía esta excelente para andar y se convirtió una carretera muy rápida que conecta muchos municipios del Departamento de Antioquia.

Para llegar a este lugar llamado El viaducto hay que salirse de la vía principal y empezar a rodar por carretera destapada la cual no es nada fácil de maniobrar ( un carro pequeño de carrocería baja sufre mucho en este tipo de camino ) durante mas o menos 20 minutos.

Al llegar allí nos detuvimos en un estadero donde dejamos la motocicleta y desayunamos este rico plato que vez en las fotos.

Dentro de las gastronomía de este lugar destaco este producto que se llama ABORRAJADO , el cual es una especie de plátano maduro con queso el cual es frito y sabe delicioso ( no juzguen la presentación ). También el sabor de ese chorizo de Cerdo hecho en fogón de leña le dio un sabor delicioso. En este viaje nos gastamos incluyendo gasolina unos 25 dólares en este viaje incluyendo el almuerzo.

Aquí comenzaba nuestra aventura que nos sorprendió en el alma ,ya que pudimos ver varios animales, nacimientos de Agua y unos paisajes que uno dice : WOW. ( la conexión es mágica con la naturaleza ).

Según preguntamos a las personas que vivían allí, años atrás muy atrás pasaba un ferrocarril el cual había sido fuente económica del sector, ya que se vehia en las ruinas.

Continuando el camino a lo lejos puedo ver un túnel que decía 1926, mi novia se asusto un poco pero nos aventurarnos a entrar en él. Allí solo había silencio, hasta que nos acompaño el sonido de unos murciélagos y con la ayuda de la linterna de un celular iluminábamos nuestros pasos (70 metros ).
La verdad es una experiencia maravillosa y este solo era el primero de 4 túneles que tiene este sector.

Nos encontramos con ciclistas, caminantes, hasta un grupo de motociclistas de la ciudad de Bogotá.

Luego de pasar los 4 túneles, caminamos un poco más donde nos encontramos con la prueba irrefutable de que por aquí paso un tren o ferrocarril como lo quieran llamar años atrás.

Este puente lo cruzamos, da un poco de vértigo lo confieso, pero a eso veníamos a explorar y conocer este mágico sector. Este puente había que caminar por la mitad en uno de sus rieles y juntar mucho los pies para poder avanzar.

Este ha sido uno de mis mejores paseos que he realizado con mi novia y si vienen a Medellín es obligatorio ir allí.
