(ENG/SPA) day 2 the mechanical chimera fast animation

Good morning sketchbook and threeshorts community, today is the second day of my goal or challenge of accumulating 1000 hp. Today I have an experiment, to present my drawing through a short, in the same way the explanation of the drawing will be in writing but I want to show some work that is a little more elaborate, it also occurs to me to make pixel art tutorial shorts, for the concept of this animation I drew a kind of mechanical chimera with an attack animation and 8-bit music in the background, well Without further ado, here is the step by step.

Step 1

For this main part I drew the mechanical head, I only thought of a piece of metal with holes where you can see the eyes and the mouth with deformed teeth, as if they were small metal fragments, with that said I began to draw the upper jaw and the upper jaw in separate layers. the lower one since I wanted to make the animation of opening and closing a little, from there I gave the upper part a block or scrap look, the teeth in separate layers to work better and some gears which I didn't know how to animate, which I would have liked They rotate a little as the mouth opens. For the color palette, since it is a mechanical monster, I decided to use purple colors to give the appearance that it is possessed or that it has malevolent connotations.

Step 2

For the second step I structured the body, for this part I had run out of ideas, the truth is I wanted to make a kind of robot, but I thought we were going to make it more fun, so I imagined a robot that was all poorly made with parts that didn't fit together, so I drew the torso as a metal chest, then I added more supernatural appearance, since I thought of the chest as a mimic, bone with eyes and mouth, at the top I drew a kind of connector that would be the neck as if it were plated in a bad way, also add exhaust pipes, to accentuate the robotic appearance, finally I drew a snake tail and added metallic colors, in general the color palette in this area ranges from purples, light and dark blues and some greens and silver.

Step 3

For this step I drew the right arm, in this case I had already decided to make the chimera like a knight or monster with a sword and shield, for this part I only drew the shield and a small shoulder with a shield, however, I saw it as very simple for what I draw an opening or mouth in the middle and reuse teeth, eyes and tongue, only with small adjustments in size and direction, so the shield would be a living being too.

Step 4

Lastly and most importantly, the left arm, which is where most of the animation of this character is, reused the shoulder and finished drawing a knight's arm and a sword, for this case it was something simple, from there I modified frame to frame the movement of the arm, 3 frames specifically to make the effect of the blow with the sword, you can also see the slight changes in the mouths and tongue to give opening and closing movement, from there the rest of the movement focused on going up and lower each part of the body one or two pixels to give it the sensation of static movement, reuse color palettes from the rest of the drawing and that's it.

Buenos días comunidad de sketchbook y threeshorts el día de hoy es el segundo día de mi meta o reto de acumular 1000 hp para el día de hoy tengo un experimento , presentar mi dibujo mediante un short, de igual forma la explicación del dibujo será mediante escrito pero quiero mostrar algo de trabajo un poco más elaborado, también se me ocurre hacer shorts de tutoriales de pixel art, para el concepto de esta animación dibuje a una especie de chimera mecánica con una animación de ataque y música en 8 bits de fondo, bueno sin más que decir aquí va el paso a paso.

Paso 1

Para esta parte principal dibuje la cabeza mecánica, solo pensé en un pedazo de metal con agujeros por donde se ven los ojos y la boca con dientes deformes, como si fueran pequeños fragmentos metálicos , dicho eso empecé a dibujar en capas separadas la mandíbula superior y la inferior ya que quería hacer la animación de abrir y cerrar un poco, de ahí a la parte superior le di un aspecto de bloque o chatarra , los dientes en capas separadas para trabajar mejor y unos engranajes los cuales no supe animar, que hubiera querido que giraran un poco conforme la boca se abre, para la paleta de colores al ser un monstruo mecánico decidí utilizar colores morados para dar el aspecto de que esta poseído o que tenga connotaciones malévolas.

Paso 2

Para el segundo paso estructure el cuerpo, ya para esta parte me había quedado sin ideas, la verdad quería hacer una especie de robot, pero pensé que vamos a hacerlo más divertido, así que imagine un robot todo mal hecho con partes que no encajasen, así que el torso los dibuje como un cofre metálico, ya ahí agregue mas aspecto sobrenatural, ya que el cofre lo pensé como un mímico, ósea con ojos y boca, en la parte superior dibuje una especie de conector que sería el cuello como si estuviera chapado de mala manera, también agregue tubos de escape, para acentuar el aspecto robótico, por ultimo dibuje una cola de serpiente y le agregue colores metálicos, en general la paleta de colores en esta zona va desde morados, azules claros y oscuros y algunos verdes y plateados.

Paso 3

Para este paso dibuje el brazo derecho, en este caso ya había decidido hacer a la chimera como un caballero o monstruo con espada y escudo, para esta parte solo dibuje el escudo y un pequeño hombro con escudera, sin embargo, lo vi muy simplón por lo que le dibuje una abertura o boca en medio y reutilice dientes, ojos y lengua, solo con pequeños ajustes de tamaño y dirección, por lo que el escudo sería un ser vivo también.

Paso 4

Por último y más importante el brazo izquierdo que es donde está la gran parte de la animación de este personaje, reutilice el hombro y termine de dibujar un brazo de caballero y una espada, para este caso fue algo simple, ya de ahí modifique frame a frame el movimiento del brazo , 3 frames en concreto para hacer el efecto del golpe con la espada, también se puede apreciar los ligeros cambios en bocas y lengua para dar movimiento de apertura y cierre, ya de ahí el resto de movimiento se centró en subir y bajar uno o dos pixeles cada parte del cuerpo para darle la sensación de movimiento estático, reutilice paletas de colores del resto del dibujo y listo.
