Hoy, quiero compartirles este dibujo que hice hace ya algunos días. Honestamente, estoy muy contenta con el resultado, siento que he podido progresar con una diferencia del cielo a la tierra debido a las nuevas técnicas de coloreado que he podido desarrollar a lo largo de este corto periodo de tiempo.

Today, I want to share with you this drawing I did a few days ago. Honestly, I am very happy with the result, I feel that I have been able to progress with a difference from heaven to earth due to the new coloring techniques that I have been able to develop along this short period of time.

Mi primera idea era hacer a una chica que estuviera asociada a las tortugas, quería que diera esa impresión de un ambiente azulado, con colores marinos.

My first idea was to make a girl who was associated with turtles, I wanted her to give that impression of a bluish environment, with marine colors.

Para darle un toque más personalizado, la caractericé colocándole el sombrero que tiene. Me inspiré en los famosos sombreros de pescador con forma de ranita, sólo que la intención era hacerlo en modo de caparazón de tortuga. Cosa que, al final descarté porque no me estaba gustando mucho como estaba quedando, por lo que únicamente le dejé en tonos verdes, más no detallé la forma del caparazón.

To give it a more personalized touch, I characterized it by placing the hat on it. I was inspired by the famous fisherman's hats in the shape of a frog, only that the intention was to make it as a turtle shell. Something that, in the end I discarded because I was not really liking the way it was turning out, so I only left it in green tones, but I did not detail the shape of the shell.

Para los tonos de piel jugué mucho con los rubores y colores rojizos. Estos ayudan a darle viveza con su calidez. Busqué un equilibrio entre los colores fríos para darle armonía a toda la ilustración, jugando con las mezclas y las correcciones tonales que me facilita el programa. Además, experimenté un poco con los brillos. Nunca fui una persona que le gustara mucho colocarle detalle de brillo a los ojos o piel ya que jamás me salía como esperaba o no me terminaba de convencer del todo el efecto que estos le daban a la textura.

For the skin tones I played a lot with blushes and reddish colors. These help to give it liveliness with their warmth. I looked for a balance between the cold colors to give harmony to the whole illustration, playing with the mixtures and tonal corrections that the program gives me. In addition, I experimented a bit with glows. I was never a person who liked to add shiny details to the eyes or skin because it never came out as I expected or I was not completely convinced by the effect they gave to the texture.

Este dibujo fue la excepción, definitivamente me siento satisfecha con el resultado, sentí que pude aplicar muy bien los brillos en la piel. Claro, aún con ese temor de que no quedara como yo deseara, resultando totalmente lo contrario ¿Tú que dices? ¿disfrutaste el speedpaint?

This drawing was the exception, I definitely feel satisfied with the result, I felt that I was able to apply very well the shines on the skin. Of course, even with that fear that it wouldn't look the way I wanted, it turned out totally the opposite. What do you say? did you enjoy the speedpaint?
