Waking up to surprising gains 📈

I was met with quite the surprise this morning when I got out of bed. I saw that HBD prices had increased from the typical range of $1 all the way up to $3 for a brief period. This brought HIVE up quite a bit as well, from around $0.40 to $0.56. All this while BTC and the rest of the crypto market were in the red again.

This type of movement is totally unpredictable and I find it hard to believe that anybody in crypto is able to call massive fluctuations like this accurately. There are many that claim to have a method, but I think crypto is a lot like baseball where the best batting averages are barely above .300. I am saying that you would be very lucky/skilled to be correct about crypto price predictions of only 30% of the time. That means the majority of the time we are wrong and most of us are nowhere near batting .300 of course.

When I see HBD increase in value like this, it tells me that HIVE almost certainly has to go up with it. A lot of users here go to sell/convert their HBD to HIVE when it strays away from its stabilized position. Some may decide to sell into BTC or other tokens, but very few will just keep their HBD sitting there. Some may be stuck waiting 3.5 days for their HBD to withdraw from savings, if so they will probably miss out on the quick pump. Usually, these are short-lived, but again you never really know what will happen.

In today's video, I wanted to go over what moves I made upon seeing this pump had occurred. I didn't have any HBD to sell for HIVE, so I missed out there. I decided to sell a bit of HIVE using https://stealthex.io/ and then top up my https://crypto.com/cards so I have some extra money to use during my family beach vacation in a couple of weeks. Plus we will talk about how much Crypto.com has changed their debit card since I first signed up for mine by staking with them last November. It has been one of the worst investments ever and I mostly blame the changes on this massive downturn that we are still undergoing in crypto, but also on overspending during their marketing frenzy.
