I've been a Star Wars fan all my life. I love the movies, toys, Lego and of course the games.
One of my favorite of all time is Jedi Knight 2: Jedi Outcast. I have played this game online for several years. The reason why I played it so much was because I was in a clan. A real community. So I have a lot of good memories. For many many years I have been wishing for a game like JK2. My prayers have not been answered yet. But the latest Star Wars game is not bad at all.
Star Wars Jedi: Fallen Order does a lot of things right. It feels like a mix of several games. JK2/3 combat, KoTOR elements like having your own ship and Tomb Raider adventures.
The combat is very challenging. You really need to practice in order to defeat boss enemies. Know when to attack and when to defend. This reminds me of JK2. Dueling was so cool back then and some were more skilled than others.
This is a single player game. No multiplayer but as I am a single player guy, I absolutely love this. This way you know they had to nail it in order it for to be a success.
I'm an RPG guy so I also like the leveling system. The more enemies you defeat, the more experience you get and the higher your level will get. Each new level will get you a skill point which you can spend on new moves and abilities.
The story is good enough to keep you interested in moving on. It's about a young Jedi who needs to rebuild the Jedi Order. The characters feel real with real emotions. The droid that accompanies you on your journey is a funny touch.
Visually it's quite impressive. It feels like the most beautiful Star Wars game ever made.
I bought this on Steam when it was on sale. Together with 2 other SW games. Battlefront 2 and Squadrons.
I definitely recommend this game. Yes, it sounds weird that EA can deliver a good finished game with no bugs. But miracles do happen!
