Dying Light Review PC

This is a first person RPG-like survival game. You need to survive, fight and run for your life.
I bought this game on Steam a while ago but I only started playing a few days ago. If you look at the reviews on Steam, you know you're getting a good game.
Maybe a very good one if you like this type of game.

For me, the best part of the game is the free running. Jumping from building to building, sliding, balancing on a thin fence, ... you name it.
The story is about some guy who gets dropped into a city and needs to collect some information. But I only finished about 10% of the story. It's just a lot of fun to
roam the city. Do side quests. Sometimes you stumble upon some people who need help. Or you see a plane dropping some goods. I would say it's not a dead city. But of course it's a very dead city but not in a dull kind of way. ;)

There is also a day and night cycle. Now I'm not a kind of guy who likes horror. Not in movies and not in games. Why? Because it freaks me out.
Killing zombies during the day is fun. You have tons of ways to kill them. You could use your weapons or your environment.
But during the night, I mostly run back to a shelter because I'm scared shitless. You can't see anything in the dark and there are more deadly creatures roaming the night than slow zombies.
Especially when you're low level, you have to run. You NEED to run.

Sometimes the game reminds me about Skyrim. You can create items, dismantle them for resources, make boosters, all kind of stuff really. The more you kill, run, do missions, the more experience you gain.
You gain points which you can spend on skills. Like a flying kick, greater health, stronger attacks, ...

I think one of the most fun parts is the multiplayer part. You can play the campaign with 4 people. This is especially good if it's getting dark when you need all the help you can get.

Overall a great game. Good graphics, solid gameplay, decent story. And I haven't even touched all the extra dlc and other game modes.
Right now, you can buy it at Steam for only 10 euro. Or you can wait for Dying Light 2 which is expected somewhere in the next months.

In this video I had to find the main switch of a power station. Unfortunately, when I found the switch, I forgot I had to do this at night. Lol.
