Hi!
I use Ableton Live to create everything, on six instruments. I record each loop with a footpedal. Everything is completely improvised-no two concerts are the same.
I start out with just a house track, and the bass. I create a funky/motown inspired bass line, then I follow it with a "guitar" type line. I switch to the keyboard, and add a Fender Rhodes riff, similar to James Brown's Sex Machine guitar line. Then I add a Wobbly synth effect. Then the flute enters. The flute is using heavy reverb and delay as usual. I solo on the flute for a while. I add a repeated flute line, first a high part, then a low part. Then I start to solo on harmonica.
I add a repeated harmonica loop after the solo, and then begin to solo on sax.
I like to keep the sax solo simple in the beginning, because there are so many other things happening.
After soloing for a while, I add a repeated sax riff. Then I turn off the house track and let the groove run.

Uso Ableton Live para crear todo, en seis instrumentos. Grabo cada bucle con un pedal. Todo es completamente improvisado, no hay dos conciertos iguales.
Comienzo con solo una pista de house y el bajo. Creo una línea de bajo inspirada en funky/motown, luego la sigo con una línea tipo "guitarra". Cambio al teclado y agrego un riff de Fender Rhodes, similar a la línea de guitarra Sex Machine de James Brown. Luego agrego un efecto de sintetizador Wobbly. Luego entra la flauta. La flauta está usando una fuerte reverberación y retardo como de costumbre. Yo solo en la flauta por un tiempo. Agrego una línea de flauta repetida, primero una parte alta, luego una parte baja. Luego empiezo a hacer solos de armónica.
Agrego un bucle de armónica repetido después del solo y luego empiezo a tocar el saxo.
Me gusta mantener el solo de saxofón simple al principio, porque están sucediendo muchas otras cosas.
Después de hacer solos por un tiempo, agrego un riff de saxofón repetido. Luego apago la pista de la casa y dejo correr el ritmo.
