¿El Bajo es importante?
Sesión 1: Karma Police - Radiohead
Howdy, Hivers. For nobody is a secret that disconnection that many people have with the sound of the bass and this time I want to show how "Karma Police" by "Radiohead" sounds with and without the bass, alternating the bass line where there is a pause to appreciate the lack of bass and then introduce it. In this case I want to add these new posts where at least one of the songs I publish in the week, show how the absence of the bass influences a song and this week I will start with a song by "Radiohead" and I will be preparing the next post with a song by "Incubus" where I will show not only what affects the absence of the bass, but also the impact on the harmony and even the melody of the song, but in this first post I want to show how the absence of the bass line impacts the melody in addition to that void that represents the absence of the bass. All this as part of my stubborn determination to show the real importance of a bass and the impact of its absence. The guitar is always seen as the leader or more visible because of its speed or because its sound is softer, but the absence of the bass does not generate as much impact as the absence of the bass.
Music is free to express itself with any instrument, but always in an orchestra or band, the low frequencies give a character of power to a song and this power is given by the bass, when it comes to a band and in the case of symphony orchestras, the double bass is one of those who gives that necessary frequency. I hope this is a post to your liking and always remembering that a world without music is nonsense.
