Testing Calaminol in Makeup [ENG/ESP]

Hello everyone! Today I bring you a new makeup article, where I will be recommending a great product to use before makeup. So let's get to it!

Recently I saw that a girl used the famous Calamidol, a cream that serves to refresh and relieve burning and itching in the skin, as a primer for makeup. That surprised me but what surprised me more is that it was really effective, since I tried it.

¡Hola a todos! El día de hoy les trago un nuevo artículo sobre maquillaje, donde estaré recomendando un producto buenísimo para utilizar antes del maquillaje. Así que ¡Vayamos a ello!

Hace poco ví que una chica utilizo el famoso Calamidol, una crema que sirve para refrescar y aliviar el ardor y la comezón en la piel, como un primer para el maquillaje. Eso me sorprendió pero lo que más me sorprendió es que era realmente efectivo, ya que lo probé.

So, the first thing you should do before you start applying makeup is to wash your face with a face soap, dry it and add a little moisturizer. Not too much because we want the skin to be as clean as possible and not greasy.

We are going to take the Calamidol, shake very well so that it is homogeneous and with our palm we will take only a little of the product. Note that it should NOT be applied to the eye area. The cream is like menthol creams and we will only irritate our eyes if we put it there. So only apply on the forehead, chin and partially on the cheeks.

Así que, lo primero que deben hacer antes de comenzar a maquillarse, es lavar sus caritas con un jabón para el rostro, secar y no agregar sino un poco de crema hidratante. No demasiado pues queremos que la piel este lo más limpia posible y no grasa.

Vamos a tomar el Calamidol, agitamos muy bien para que quede homogénea y con nuestra palma tomaremos solo un poco del producto. Tomar en cuenta que NO debe aplicarse en las zonas del ojo. La crema es como las cremas mentoladas y solo irritaremos nuestros ojos si lo colocamos allí. Así que solo aplicar en la frente, barbilla y parcialmente las mejillas.

If you have oily skin you can apply two coats, but if this is not your case, one coat will suffice. Cover just enough. Do not use primer because this cream will act as a primer.

Then we apply our foundation as usual. In my case I had a mousse and it was not the best choice because although I tried to do it with my fingertips so as not to drag with a brush or sponge, it happened that with the density of the mousse I removed a little of the Calamidol. I'm sure that if you have a liquid foundation, it will be a better application. However, the left side was better than the right side because the first one had a thinner layer and the other one did not.

Si eres piel grasa puedes aplicar dos capas pero, si no es tu caso, con una sola capa bastará. Cubrir solo lo suficiente. No utilice primer porque está crema hará el papel de primer.

Luego colocamos nuestra base como de costumbre. En mi caso tenía un mousse y no fue la mejor elección porque aunque intenté hacerlo con las yemas para no arrastrar con brocha ni esponja, sucedió que con la densidad del mousse retiraba un poco del Calamidol. Estoy segura que si tienen una base líquida, será mejor la aplicación. Sin embargo el lado izquierdo quedó mejor que el derecho porque el primero tenía una capa más fino y la otra no.

Now, after the foundation you can continue applying your makeup as usual. I applied the products in the following order; contour, seal with powder, use warm shadows, eyeliner, highlighter, lipstick and gloss and I almost forgot to apply mascara.

You can see the final result in the pictures and video. Both are illustrative so you can see the complete finish with the use of the cream and judge on your own if Calamidol is effective or not. Here are some observations.

Ahora, después de la base pueden seguir maquillandose como de costumbre. Yo coloque en el siguiente orden los productos; contorno, selle con polvo, utilice sombras cálidas, delineador, iluminador, labial y brillo y casi casi que se me olvida colocarme la máscara de pestañas.

El resultado final lo pueden ir viendo en las fotografías y el vídeo. Ambas son ilustrativas para que puedan notar el acabado completo con la utilización de la crema y juzguen por su cuenta si es efectivo o no el Calamidol. Acá les dejo algunas observaciones.

*Before using any product on your face, do your research on it. Look into what it contains and if it is good to apply it on your face, just find information about it containing aloe vera, panthenol, oatmeal, camphor, etc. However, the ideal is to go to a professional, a dermatologist.

* Apply only on the indicated areas, let dry well and apply products if possible liquid and seal with powder. Then remove as usual and moisturize.

* Antes de utilizar cualquier producto en tu rostro, investiga sobre él. Busque sobre lo que contiene y si es bueno aplicarlo en el rostro, solo halle información sobre que contiene aloe vera, pantenol, avena, alcanfor, etc. Sin embargo, lo ideal es recurrir a un profesional, un dermatólogo.

* Aplicar solo en las zonas indicadas, dejar secar bien y aplicar productos en lo posible líquidos y sellar con polvo. Luego retirar como es costumbre e hidratar.
