I've played golf most of my adult life

Back when I was still working the corporate vibe, golf was a thing.

... I dunno WHAT that thing was.

... but it seemed like a great excuse to get out the office.

We'd pretend it was for "networking" purposes, but in fact we just drove around in carts drinking beer. We didn't even keep score on our weekly Tuesday games.

Is 2024 gonna change that?

Is this the year I finally learn to play golf and not just just drive around drinking beer or hosting a braai at the halfway house?

Let's start at the driving range

I met a bunch of cool guys at a local driving range, and we did a few events together... and smacking a few balls around on the range, reminded me how much fun golf CAN actually be (OK, the golf course itself is still another story if your goal is to actually play a decent round).

Let's see... we've got some cool plans lined up for 2024, and YES, it's going to involve a lot of Beers & Braais... but a lot more actual golf too ;-)
