Buen día, colegas músicos y amantes de la música. Vengo a participar por primera vez en el Hive Música Festival. Aunque es algo tardía mi participación (porque he tenido la invitación abierta desde hace tiempo, pero el trabajo no me dejaba).

Los temas de diciembre son navideños y nada habla de la navidad mejor que los aguinaldos venezolanos. ¿Quién no recuerda alguno de estos? Todos son muy bellos y algunos tienes letras que hacen mención al nacimiento del niño Jesús.

En mi participación de esta semana, quiero compartir con ustedes el Aguinaldo, La Jornada. Este es de autor anónimo y es de das canciones que todo el mundo se sabe por alguna razón. En mi caso, me recuerda a las fiestas navideñas del colegio. Por si no lo saben, estudié en un colegio católico de las hermanas Carmelitas aquí en Cumaná. En mi mente hay una rocola de canciones con temas religiosos. Mis favoritas son los aguinaldos y villancicos.

Escuchar estas notas me transporta a esa época más feliz dónde toda la familia estaba reunida en la mesa y se esperaba por abrir los regalos al día siguiente. Es algo mágico. La misma canción hace referencia a un viaje hacia Belén y como unos cascabeles anuncian el tiempo de partir.

No es mi aguinaldo favorito, pero sí uno que despierta recuerdos muy bellos. Me gustaría saber cuál es su aguinaldo favorito.

Por lo pronto, me despido esperando que mi interpretación sea de su agrado. Todavía no canto, pero estoy tomando clases. Así que seguro me verán cantando pronto. Tampoco cantaría este aguinaldo porque tiene ¡10 estrofas! Por ahora, disfruten de Embla haciendo la voz.

Greetings fellow musicians and music lovers! Today, I bring you my first entry for the Hive Music Festival. I'm sorry for the delay (work and a lot of other stuff had kept me from recording my video).

The themes of December inevitably speak of Christmas. What is better for this than Venezuelan Aguinaldos? Who doesn't know one of these? They are beautiful and their lyrics always recall topics like the birth of Jesus and festivities.

In my entry for this week, I want to share with you one which is called "La Jornada" (The Journey). It's composer is anonymous and it's one of those songs every Venezuelan seems to remember somehow. In my case, it reminds me of the Christmas celebrations at scho. I studied at a Catholic school, so my brain is a bit jukebox of songs with religious themes. My favorite ones are all those related to Christmas.

Listening to this melody takes me back to those happy times when all the family was gathered around the table and we waited for the next day to open the presents. It was pure magic! The songs makes refenreces to a Journey to Bethlehem and some jingle bells anounce the departure.

It isn't my favorite Christmas song, but it is filled with beautiful memories. I'd like to know which is your favorite Christmas song.

For now, I gotta say goodbye, but I hope you enjoy my performance. I'm still not signing, nor would I sing this one. It has 10 stanzas! But I have to tell you my little secret and it's that I'm taking singing lessons. So you'll see me signing sometime soon. Enjoy Embla's beautiful voice.
