Hello to the Hive Learners Community! Welcome to my blog. Today, my mother was very worried because their favorite hand sanitizer was finished and it is first time we didn't have any disinfectant in our house. I discussed this matter with my father. He instructed me to prepare iodine based disinfectant for our house. Previously, we are using Ocean hand sanitizer. It is too much costly but good in Quality. They have long lasting effective. Ocean is 1.98$ in price. Although it is costly but we are satisfied with its impact. The real trouble started for us when they become short in the market. On the Saturday night, when I was in Emporium for shopping. I came to know this bad news. My mum was worried to know about it. I and my father solved this problem and recommended local disinfectant use. She agreed instantly because she had used it already.

It had been too long when my father was in Pakistan he prepared Iodine based disinfectant in our house. I have to repeat all those steps we had done in preparation of this disinfectant in the past. Anyway, I got successfully updated my mind and made it ready for preparation of the disinfectant. My mum helped me in arranging these things.

What is Iodine based Disinfectant?

This purple colored disinfectant is locally used in houses to kill microbes. It can be used externally like iodine tincture in the first aid. It aides in healing process if we put it on our skin wounds.

Procedure for the Preparation of Iodine Based Disinfectant:

It is easy to prepare this disinfectant. You can prepare it at home easily. First you need to arrange following materials for 3Liters Iodine based disinfectant preparation.

• 95% Ethanol 1L
• 500 g Granular Iodine
• 1.5 L distil water
• One Grinder
• Long Plastic Gloves
• One Helper
• 10 L large Bucket
• Googles to protect your eyes

After arranging these things, you can start your preparation by following steps.

1. Wear Gloves and googles.
2. Put 1/2 Liter of Ethanol into the bucket.
3. Put 250 g granular iodine into the bucket.
4. Grind it for 10 minutes.
5. Put another 1.5 ethanol bottle into the bucket.
6. Put another 250 g granular iodine into the bucket.
7. Repeat the process of grinding for another 10 minutes.
8. Put another 1.5 Liter distl water into the bucket.
9. Grine now the whole stuff until homogenized color appeared.

Conclusion:

In Pakistan, there is high inflation. There are many things away from the approach of white colored people. In these conditions, we have to find some replacements. I 'm lucky to learn all these things about disinfectants from my father. Manually, we should be able to make these replacements.

It had been a long time, when my father always brings branded disinfectant in our home. These disinfectants provide us safety from many microbes that can spread disease fastly.
