The Russian and Syrian army sappers used 3.5 tonnes of explosives to blow up a network of caves dug by Al Qaeda in the northwestern Hama countryside, central Syria, today morning.
US-sponsored Al-Qaeda and their derivatives operating in Syria use underground tunnels and fortified caves for their movements, storage of their weapons, command centers, and even prison for their victims. This cave network was huge enough for storing tanks and military armored vehicles in it. Syrian Army have discovered entire cities dug and built underground whole towns like the one connecting Duma in Damascus countryside with the open desert.
Al Qaeda terrorists dug this cave 2 kilometers deep in the mountain in 2012 and were using it until the Syrian Arab Army (SAA) liberated the northern Hama countryside in 2019.
Early April this year, the Russian army used 5 tonnes of explosives to blow up a network of tunnels in southern Idlib countryside.
