Receive a warm greeting and a Merry Christmas, I am pleased to be with you all this week and join again in this week 47 to the singing voice. To participate this week I come to bring you a classic of Latin American Rock, a song that surely all have heard it and surely also have chanted it.

Se trata de Lamento Boliviano, un tema compuesto por una agrupación argentina llamada "Alcohol etílico" sin embargo, fue la agrupación Enanitos Verdes la encargada de inmortalizar este tema. Lamento boliviano dentro de sus acordes incorpora instrumentos nativos de pueblos indígenas de Sudamérica y aunque su letra puede ser entendida con facilidad, hay frases dentro de la canción que se refieren a la jerga de la cultura argentina. Su propio nombre lo indica.

It is Lamento Boliviano, a song composed by an Argentine group called "Alcohol etílic", however, it was the group Enanitos Verdes the one in charge of immortalizing this song. Lamento Boliviano incorporates native instruments from indigenous peoples of South America within its chords and although its lyrics can be easily understood, there are phrases within the song that refer to the slang of the Argentinean culture. Its very name indicates it.

Si lamento boliviano es una expresión muy popular dentro de la argentina que se utiliza para referirse a una persona la cual se la pasa quejándose siempre de su situación, la cual puede ser económica o personal. Otras frases como "nena no te peines en la cama" esto hace alusión a una vieja superstición argentina, la cual indica que si una mujer se peina encima de la cama tendrá mala suerte en el amor o inclusive pudiera perder a su marido.

Si lamento boliviano is a very popular expression in Argentina that is used to refer to a person who is always complaining about his or her situation, which can be economic or personal. Other phrases such as "nena no te peines en la cama" (don't comb your hair in bed) refer to an old Argentine superstition, which indicates that if a woman combs her hair on the bed she will have bad luck in love or she could even lose her husband.

Estos datos son relevantes dentro del tema porque por tratarse de aspectos culturales del país suele tener varias interpretaciones dependiendo de la nacionalidad de cada oyente. Es por esto que Lamento Boliviano es una de las canciones más icónicas de la cultura de rock en Latinoamérica, ya que no solo nos brinda de una hermosa música, sino también de una profunda letra que pudiera hablarnos de un posible desamor mezclado con una ira a punto de estallar o hablarnos de un posible drenaje de emociones ante situaciones de estrés y soledad.

These data are relevant within the topic because when dealing with cultural aspects of the country usually has several interpretations depending on the nationality of each listener. This is why "Bolivian Lament" is one of the most iconic songs of Latin American rock culture, since it not only provides us with beautiful music, but also with deep lyrics that could speak of a possible heartbreak mixed with anger about to explode or talk about a possible drainage of emotions in situations of stress and loneliness.
