For those who don't play chess, winning six games in a row - at any level - is a pretty hard thing to do, especially if you are trying to pull an ELO all-time-high where the stakes and the nerves are at full.
If you play chess then you already know this is a good streak. Maybe not a Hikaru-like streak but it is still a good one.
I managed to destro four of my six opponents and I was able to create some counterplay and take advantage of two of my opponents' mistakes and, ultimately I won six matches in a row.
I am now over 1250 ELO in rapid chess on chess.com, I am still very far from my goals of reaching 1500 ELO points before 2023 and, to put some context into it, people who take lessons and pay courses can grow 200-300 points per semester. I've gone from 800 to 1450 in 9 months by just playing, watching videos and paying attention to patterns and analyzing my games afterwards.
Right now, 1250 ELO puts me on the 89.5% percentile in rapid, which means that I can outplay almost 90% of the chess players in the biggest chess platform in the world. Not bad at all, huh?
Maybe I should've put the time I spent playing into good use, but we all need some leisure time and I decide to play chess when I have a spare moment, it relaxes me and takes my mind off the stressful parts of my day.
Anyway, I hope you enjoy watching me destroy six opponents in a row!
