Hello everyone

This time I am here to make you people well aware about another masterpiece of nature's beauty located in Islamabad Pakistan through my travel blog. Actually It was a fundraising trip arranged by our university. All the fee paid for the trip was donated for a good cause. So many students bought the tickets 😀. Giving fund for the good cause and also enjoying a one day trip. It was a nice tactic from the university management to urge students take part in donations.

Come and see through my eyes

It took around 2 hours to reach the khanpur dam from my university. At first there is a beautiful family resort where you can stay with your family. The resort had an adjacent lawn which was also well decorated.

We were not allowed to see the resort building from inside as it was only for the families. I also talked with the manager that I only want to take some photographs from inside but sadly he denied. Well, I moved on and started taking some pictures of the lawn.

This was a disturbing situation happened there when a student started climbing this on his own and the management reached at the spot who got him down immediately by saying that you hadn't tied yourself well and you might have faced death in case of falling down. Later on he was scolded well.

Well, after exploring the lawn I decided to move on towards the lake side.

There it is. The dam was made in 1983. As you might be aware of the cause that Pakistan often suffers with the flood issues and also we don't have enough resources for the electricity that is why load shedding is a big problem in this country. This dam was made for a purpose to control these things.

Later on it turned out to be a tourist attraction because of it's location and also the surrounding it has. Nowadays if you manage to visit the lake it is always full of tourists which is really beneficial for the locals there who earn well from them.

As I said that this dam has a great location. You can see the beauty through my eyes. But that's not the end of the tour, there is a lot to come. The most beautiful thing which I noticed there was a white mosque and it was looking so beautiful from the point I was seeing it.

It was made later so that people can pray there too incase they find that it is the time for prayer and they don't want to miss it. A really good step taken.

My adventures there

I enjoyed there so much. There was a lot to do. After exploring the resort and the location of the dam I reached the place where motorboats were available. This is really a good business for the locals over there.

I reached the main point of the motorboats and saw a huge amount of people already there waiting for their turns. But this didn't turned my mood off so i also bought the ticket. The price was quite high (1000pkr which is around 3 usd).

There were also other kind of boats available where you can have the ride with the whole family but i was alone with my friends so i decided to take the motorboat.

It was around 90 seconds ride and you guys can't believe how much i enjoyed. I was also having a little fear of falling down but only for a short time. You can watch the video on the top if you want to see how the ride went.

Well, my journey didn't stopped here i also decided to go for the paragliding which was a bit away from this place.

We placed some rocks in here to cross this path without getting our feets wet. But haider fell of the rocks. Lmao

Before reaching our destination i asked my friend to take some aesthetic pictures of me. Here is a glance of that.

Finally we reached the paragliding spot. Hundreds of people there waiting for turns and hundreds taking the flight at a time.

Well, the whole paragliding was taking place above the water and also people were wearing life jackets. It seemed safe to me from every point because if we fall there was water below and we were having the life jackets. So no need to worry.

As you can see hordes of people waiting for their turn we also went to the service provider for the rates. Hearing the rates we cancelled our plans at the spot. He was asking 5000pkr for one round (17usd). It was too expensive man.

So our cancelled paragliding went successful. We stood there for a while until the text from the university management reached us that come back to the buses.
